Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Hotel was good but lacked a few things in bedrooms. No coffee or tea facilities. No shelf space in bathroom . Nowhere to hold in shower. Shower on small side. Breakfast adequate but not excellent. Hooks loose in bathroom. Double room better than twin room.

Breakfast was disorganised. The staff were lovely, however they were let down by one of the waitresses at breakfast who just shrugged her shoulders and said “you just have to wait” when there were no available tables.
Clean. Very good maid service. Good location

WiFi was poor, bed was very firm. No handle on the inside of the shower and bathroom had a funky smell. Room got very hot.
Varied breakfast, large room and very clean bathroom. Bedding was clean and all the staff were lovely. Foyer was very well kept and good choice of room service snacks.

Location is excellent there is onle the issue that, in order to access the lift, you need to climb up a level of stairs. If you arrive in the night it is difficult to find the access

Little outdated

The room was a bit small and particularly the bathroom: Smallish and fitted with rather oldish equipment.
The breakfast was fine but nothing special. The location was good in the sense that walking to the centre of Bologna, which we did numerous times, we got to know the city quite well, at least that part, the centre which is most interesting.

Breakfast gets a bit repetitive as there is no change everyday, also the rooms are extremely hot as the air conditioning does not work and walls are thin so you can hear a lot of noise.
Staff are extremely helpful and friendly and willing to go the extra mile. Bed is also comfortable and hotel is in a nice quiet location

Potentially a booking.com fault; but the parking is detailed as "Public parking is possible at a location nearby (reservation is not needed) and charges may be applicable" this is of course standard booking.com website cut and paste type detail but it is not quite true. There is parking outside the hotel but actually using this is pretty much never going happen as it seems perpetually full; the hotel has a parking garage under it which is a great service but costs (I think) Euro 25 per 24 hours. Given I picked this hotel as the room plus parking appeared more competitive than others in the area I think this is a point which needs to be made prior to booking. As this extra on the parking made it more than it should have been thusly moving what should have been an easy 10/10 to an 8.
Great location right in the centre of Bologna, lovely staff and a nice building. The breakfast was good and there is within the building, staff and location nothing to fault

The hotel felt high quality throughout. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good with lots of choice. The hotel location was good with lots of bar and restaurants nearby.

The building insulation could be improved, however I was disturbed By it.

Room was very small. We paid extra for a balcony which wasn't worth it. It was disappointing looking out on the flat roof extension and flats. The artificial grass was wrinkled and torn. The shower cubicle was tiny.
Staff friendly and efficient. Breakfast buffet was good and plentiful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Plenty bars and restaurants within a short walk and only15/ 20 minute walk to centre.
