Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

WiFi was a little spotty, but didn't really matter. Adding a snack shop or something would be amazing.
Location, staff, facilities. It was phenomenal. The beds were sooooo comfortable.

Uncomfortable beds, in facts the thin kids futon mattresses were more comfortable than the normal beds were.
Great location with near beach access, a nice pool, a space for our kids to play. Staff was great and allowed us to use the unadvertised hotel laundry.

Breakfast had to be pre booked and no variety. Food Service often slow and sometimes overpriced there was no menu so prices seemed made up - Euro 25 for a small bowl of pasta !
Small friendly hotel we relaxed atmosphere.

All was good. I'm not sure if the Restaurant belongs to the Residence, but I had a Breakfest there and one small, very small Criticism: The food in the breakfast offer was rather limited. It would have been great if this price didn't just include one coffee. But the coffee was very good and the staff also very nice!
I stayed at the Residence Pietre Bianche for 2 nights during my trip through Calabria and can highly recommend this hotel. If my vacation had not ended I would have stayed longer. The apartments are spacious and have everything you need. A big advantage is that you can park your car right next to the apartments. In about 20min by car you are in Tropea, in 4min in Pizzo and in 30min at the airport Lamezia! If you don't feel like going by car in the evening, you can also walk to Pizzo. All in all a nice, uncomplicated experience. I would book this accommodation again!

No shops within comfortable walking distance of the hotel. Shame there wasn't a bar separate from the Michelin recommended restaurant.
Very friendly and helpful staff even if their English (and my Italian) were limited. Great pool area and a lovely view of sunset from our balcony.

It appeared that there is a railway between the property and a sea, which wasn't shown on the photos. Plus, there is no access to the sea, as it is all stones and in order to get some swimming you need to drive 1-2-3 km, which was not that bad.

We had everything we need in the room. The place is beautiful, nicely located and with direct access to the beach. The staffs are also very kind and helpful. We couldn’t find a taxi on the day of our departure and almost missed the train, the hotel staff drove us to the station.

The shower was very small as they mostly are in these small town. The mattress was not comfortable but I got used to it after a week.
The location of Pietre Bianca was great for us. We stayed for 10 days it was located near local trains although, we had a car because we were visiting all the beautiful towns along the Mediterranean Sea. There is a magnificent pool and place to do laundry . There is a very small beach by walking a few minutes. The staff Francesco and Pino were just the nicest and took care of all our needs., even on Sunday which is their holiday . We would stay there again because we found Pizzo to be so charming ,we got to feel how Italians really live.
