Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. If you like to be around silence better not come when the restaurant is open because you can here them very clear from outside. Be prepared to drive on a narrow road for 23 minutes up and down if you need something so it's better to have food or maybe the owners will cook something for you.
The view from balcony is stunning! It was lovely to get homemade pie, bread, jam, milk and yougurt at the arrival day. We stayed here friday-monday. There is a restaurant downstairs which works friday to sunday, unfortunately we didn't had a chance to eat there but if people come such a difficult way up here, I think it's worth it. The apartment itself was really clean and had everything you need for cooking in the kitchen. There was a lovely, friendly dog.

Nothing at all. Everything was perfect.
Getting to the Rifugio was a little tricky given the relative complexity of the road (many very closed curves), but once one arrives there, the view is amazing. The place is very clean and comfortable and Gabriella's cooking is outstanding.

If you are car dependent or you are planning to travel this place is chellenging due to 9 km up and down partially with narrow roads. You need to plan food etc.
Nice clean appartment with stunning view from the terrace. Clean nice place. Very nice and helpfull owners. That is a great place when you are planning hiking or riding a bike. If you want to spend some time without TV - is good as well. You have opportunity to eat a really full Italian local dinner during the weekend (at least June-July). For eating during the week - it might be challenging but you can agree something with owners - for sure.

If you want to criticize something, then it‘s the longer way from the village at the see to the property but for us it wasn‘t a problem at all!
Everything was an absolute dream. The view, the room, the dinner, the breakfast !! :-)

Excellent location at 1000m above lake Como! Amazing host as well! Nice cozy room, with spectacular view and totally worth it! 10/10 we will come again!

Nothing what we didn't like.
Kind reception, gorgeous Lake and Mountain Views, calm paradise, lovely hiking trails along the hill and up to the alpages, authentic buildings, modern with style, nice terrace or balconies and garden. You simply want to move your home Office there! WLAN was stable considering that the place is a 20 min drive Up from Gera Lario

You should realise that is is a 25 minute drive from the lake uphill to the accommodation.
The view is amazing, the apartment is very nice and clean.

Nothing, though be aware that access is via a single winding mountain road so car is highly recommended

The place is very nice with an amazing view of the mountains and the lake. The owners are extremely nice and helpful. We had breakfast and a delicious dinner. Highly recommend!!!!!

The apartment is located in an amazing place, overviewing the lake. it has everything to make you feel comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. The apartment is newly renovated and super clean. The hosts are very pleasant people ready to help you any time. Its highly recommended to have dinner they make. There are various hiking trails nearby. We enjoyed our holiday at Rifugio Dalco very much!!!

The location really is on top of the hill. The drive up to the apartment is horrendous very few passing places and it takes 25 minutes to get to the main road. The facilities in the apartment are basic. Overall the apartment wasn’t for us 🙁
