Of course, given the layout of Matera, we had some difficulty finding the check-in area. The door to get to the check-in is to the right of an outdoor restaurant. Once we figured that out, everything went well. Be prepared for some steps, but that is the whole experience!

The apartment was totally as advertised - beautifully appointed with the bedroom and bathroom inside the caves. Very cool. Location was perfect with a large veranda overlooking the Sasso. Definitely a great stay!

The overpowering air freshner in the entrance. There was no fresh milk or chilled breakfast items in the morning. And was not familiar with using the coffee machine- some instructions may have been helpful.

Nothing - we were 100% satisfied.

The position of the room/hotel overlooking the Sassi was an amazing location. It was within walking distance to everything. The room was beautiful and very clean. Access to the balcony was an added bonus. Breakfast was served each morning and was generous. Loredana was an excellent host and made our breakfast and stay more pleasant. We would definitely book again.

The breakfast is really nothing, better plan to bring your own. Then, quite expensive for what it offers. Also, keep in mind that you should travel light - it's a bit of a trek into the Sassi with luggage.

Actually, the only one thing that I didn't liked it was that my stay in this suite was only one night. I could stay there all my life 😀

Everything was really really perfect - location 10/10 , cleanliness 10/10 , hospitality 10/10, view 10/10 , rooms 10/10 , I can't stop saying 10/10 ,because this really was my best stay in Italy ever !

This suite was gorgeous! It was essentially a mini apartment (without a kitchen etc). The main bedroom is large with a small balcony that overlooks part of the Sassi. The second room has a small lounge area with a desk, a couch and two beds up in the loft (we didn’t use these). Everything was super clean and the suite was very comfortable. The view from the communal balcony was amazing and we had an unforgettable front row seat from it for the fireworks display on the 2nd of July. Highly recommend !

Whilst very accomdating when we asked, it Would be good if extra bedding (sheets, blankets, etc.) was available/stored in the room. And some extra toilet paper;)

Beautiful elegant room with the best terrace in Sassi Barisone absolute top location. Host helped with advice for parking and restaurant. Lovely breakfast and the view is outstanding.

The apartment was right in the middle of Matera, so really central. The bedroom and bathroom were both set in caves which was a great experience.

It is a bit dark in the bedroom and since it is a cave house there are things that dripping out from the ceiling. They should have provided a cover on top of the bed so it won’t go down to the bed linens. It is like a dust from the ceiling.

The location is perfect our room has a private veranda and access. The view is stunning. The property is impressive as it has a generous space.
