Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandI could not fault Seven Hostel. I wished I had booked a longer stay there. If I hadn't already paid for another accommodation I would have asked to stay.
Seven hostel exceeded my expectations. The hostel is big and airy and very clean. I stayed in a double room which had a very comfortable bed and had a balcony. The young man at reception was kind and very helpful. The hostel has a bar and restaurant and one can get great espresso coffee at breakfast upon request. The continental breakfast was great with cereals, meat, cheese, bread and a selection of sweet pastries. There was juice and American coffee too, although I prefer espresso. Everything was fresh and covered. There was a fridge with great value water, beer and soft drinks. Wine was also available at a really good price. The menu in the restaurant was varied and interesting. It is a short walk to the town and public transport including the railway station.

Traveling to Europe for many years, I can say with great pleasure this is one of the best accommodations. The staff at Seven are committed to excellence and true guest satisfaction. Giovanni, Miriam, and Paulo at reception are all fantastic and helpful with anything you need. I came for one stay and returned to my property again for a second stay because it was so enjoyable. The property, common areas and rooms are kept Super clean-high efficiency and dedication to cleaning*The beds are very comfortable with lockers and guests were very nice and respectful. The property is super spacious everywhere with an amazing rooftop, scenic views, and great areas to work, relax, or socialize. The breakfast has a great selection and the ladies are efficiently refilling everything in a timely manner. They also offer food and drinks at a reasonable price. The location is very near to bus/train with beaches and great cafés, restaurants, just walking distance. This is definitely a great hostel on a budget whether for a day or a longer stay. I highly recommend staying here on your travels ahead:)

United KingdomNo lights on in hallway & stairs so had to use my iPhone light. Food was awful - I ordered a lasagne & fries. The guy said no fries as fryer has broken. So I ordered lasagne. It was served in a cardboard bowl with a plastic fork. I tried to cut it with the fork & it broke. It was barely warm. Very disappointed. I ordered wine & that too was awful. I said to the guy who served me & he said ok just bpay for the glass you had. I tried to purchase a towel but when the guy showed me (from glass cupboard) I smelt to see if fresh & it had a musty smell to it so decided not to buy. The guy said its because they’ve been in the cabinet.
Close enough to train station easy to get to Sorrento just one stop. Bed comfortable enough & bathroom was clean.

New ZealandMens toilets are really far from the rooms (depending on where you get placed) and are down a long narrow staircase that are often slippery due to the water. There is nowhere in the bathrooms to bring your clothes while you shower like a bench or chairs or even hooks. So you have to throw your belongings on the floor which is pretty unhygienic. Showers all have glass panels so you walk past everyone naked to get to an empty shower, and people walk past you naked too. Not the end of the world, but for those who aren't so open to having their junk hanging out or seeing other people's it's something to consider. No toilet seats on any of the men's toilets so you have to wipe the porcelain clean and use that as a seat or go Thai style and squat. Seems bizarre because the main toilets by the entrance of the hostel had seats No hand towels were ever refilled in the toilets for the 3 days I was there either, and the electric dryer blows cold air so it's wet hands every time you use the bathroom. Again, not the end of the world but annoying when they could simply refill the paper towel box since it's there Rooms had no privacy curtains. This seems standard in almost all hostels I've been too and not hard to install. At the time I was staying there, there was a group of young German high school students staying too. Around 14 years old or so. About 20 of them with one or two teachers. They ran around the hostel screaming and singing and running between rooms slamming doors past 11pm until finally a guest yelled at them and a teacher came out and told them to be quiet. The staff didn't once try to handle the situation despite there being signs everywhere saying 'no noise after 10pm'. It shouldn't be up to guests to step in. They were way out of line and the staff needed to step in for the sake of the guests trying to sleep
Beds were comfortable. Power point next to the bed which was great. Good size lockers for large luggage. Free breakfast was decent too. Good start to the day if you're on a budget. They also had a good menu and cheap drinks including happy hour prices

BelgiumThe private bathroom was never that clean. I think they just can't get it any cleaner. The shower floods easily and there always is a bit of a smell in the bathroom. The shared bathroom is cleaner but has see-through doors. The aircon in our room was broken for the last 3 days of my stay and they didn't fix it. The breakfast was decent, but there is no fresh fruit available.
The rooms were nice. Big and spacious with comfortable beds. The rooftop is nice. The hostel is close to the trainstation and some busstops which makes it easily accessible.

United StatesI booked a private double for 3 nights and it was advertised as air-conditioned on Booking.com. We got up to the room and couldn't get it to turn on. I went back down to the front desk and was told it's not working and they're waiting for repairs. I asked if we could move to another room and they said it's broken everywhere. No ETA for when it would be fixed. We decided to check out early on day 2 because it was too hot too stay another night. I asked for a partial refund and was told AC is not a service they guarantee. I pulled up the Booking.com listing and showed the description section stating "an air-conditioned room" and was given the same response. I've been fighting with Booking.com since over false advertising. Rooftop bar is not open this time of year and they had removed all the cushions from the furniture. The bathroom heater was rusting and dirty. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. TV mount was broken so that the TV angled towards the floor.
The view from the roof deck is amazing. Most staff were friendly.

GermanyIt's a 30min walk from Sorrento, when going back in the evening, you have to walk or take the bus ( if you are lucky enough) to the hostel. The bathroom was dirty, toilet paper everywhere on the ground, someone could steal your stuff while you're taking a shower so it is super unsafe. I lost my e-watch while taking a shower. Even the sink where I put my stuff, was just in front of the bathroom door, and I put all my stuff like toothbrush and toothpaste, my rings and watch ⌚, when I came out, the rings and watch disappeared. I would say I was taking a shower for 5-10min. And some other girls were also. So be aware of your stuff you stay there. Besides, the toilet and bathroom are outside of the room, so you have to get out when you need to go to the toilet at night. There is no kitchen.
The bed was comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the cheapest hostel in Amalfi Coast. Breakfast was good.

United KingdomThe showers/bathrooms are awful. The shower doors are see-through, the cubicles are tiny & no shelves to put any shower things on, and the doors didn't always shut properly. The breakfast is awful. Bread is stale, someone found mould on the butter and no fresh fruit even. Rooms vary, the one I was in had tiny lockers and cramped beds but some of the other rooms were much nicer (I assume people paid more for these too). They'd also said I'd been 'upgraded' on arrival so god knows where the original room was worse
The rooftop was lovely and drinks/food were good prices and very tasty

CanadaThe hostel would benefit from an improved kitchen facility with proper appliances for food preparation. Currently, the roof top has tremendous potential but is limited by the lack of equipment to mediocre, unflavorful food items prepared from frozen.
The facility was clean, organized and well suited to meet the needs of travellers passing through. The staff were helpful and involved. They appeared to be invested in their work and committed to ensuring travellers were well looked after. The best part of the hostel was the roof top where travellers can unwind, have food and beverages and watch the sun see.

New ZealandLook, you will get what you pay for. It's definitely a hostel. Don't expect too much but overall it was comfy enough. A bit noisy at times but all the people we met were nice. The bathrooms were our biggest issue, not cleaned as best they could be and they could do a bit better with hooks and shelves and more private doors to the showers. Again it still was not the worst and we didn't expect it to be amazing but it was cheap and it did the trick.
It's location is good for what you are paying for, only one train stop or a 30 min walk to Sorrento town, and there were lots of places to explore around the area of the hostel. Beds were overall comfy enough and there was a breakfast included (don't expect much but it's adequate enough). Cool roof top bar and a good amount of social and variety of people. The staff are friendly and helpful too if you need help with anything.

AustraliaWe were put into a 12 bed dorm instead of a 10 pax, the check in was very rushed and beds we were assigned has people in them. The door to our room didn’t lock, the door handle was actually broken. The cleaners left all doors open all day so anyone at anytime would be able to walk into the rooms. None of the lockers in our room worked so no one had a secure place for their items. The cleaning standards was so terrible, the bathroom was actually foul.
