Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Room was too small for a chair and little table but that would have been a nice added feature. There was a kettle for tea but no coffee maker. There was a mini fridge in the room.
Location was really great, only steps from Vatican city. Lovely neighbourhood with lots of restaurants, cafe's and shops. Room was clean, beds comfy. Communication with owner/manager was really good, I asked her about taxi's to the airport and she booked one for me right away. Would definitely stay again.

It is very small, but for the price it's perfect. The location is much closer to the Vatican than the main attractions of Rome so be prepared to take a taxi home or public transit during the day.
The bed was so comfortable especially to end our Italian trip, There are a lot of bars and restaurants around the area if you take the time to explore. And our host was great, very helpful throughout our stay.

A key would have been nice to enter the room, but the codes worked perfectly fine.

I didn't find anything that needed to be improved upon as it we had everything we needed, and the room was as advertised.
The location was perfect for what we wanted. Very close to all attractions and a lovely stroll to Trastevere. The accommodation was safe and secure with easy to follow instructions on arrival.

Could me more explicit that there is no lift there. Our room was on 2nd floor and we had a lot of luggage.

There was an annoying noise from the AC that bothered my wife at night....so we turned it off. It worked well in the day to keep room cool while we were out !
Location was perfect for a few days in Rome & really wanting to be close to the Vatican & St Peters Sq. Walking distance.......Restaurants /Cafes were just around the corner. Owner also arranged for us a taxi on check out !

Not that is a point we didn't like - but there is no on-site concierge or staff should you need them. You do however have the host's contact info on Whatsapp. Working the digi lock door was slightly tricky but we got there in the end.
The stay was great. The host was accommodating (via Whatsapp) and the location was great - just outside the city walls of the Vatican. Lots of nearby restaurants etc and not a long walk across into the main area of the city. The room was spacious with a large walk-in shower and large very comfortable bed.

First floor smells was not good and some cabinet and our room's floor has still dusty was little uncomfortable as traveling with kids.
As for the family , more clean room would be better.

Everything was great, room very clean and modern. Air con was much needed with 33 degree heat. 2 minute walk from Vatican with beautiful street filled with restaurants and bakeries around the corner.

Just wish I knew there was no elevator as I had 3 suitcases however, your housekeepers kindly kept my bags for the morning so that I could do some touring and then they carried them to the 3rd floor for me.

The location was second to none - 1 minute around the corner had us in St Peter’s Square, 10 to Vatican City entrance, 25 to Trevi Fountain and 45 to The Colosseum and that was all by foot! Lots of lovely cafes and restaurants on the doorstep too. However, for being in such a bustling area, it was extremely peaceful at night which meant no unbroken sleep. The accommodation itself was excellent. Spacious & modern room with very welcome AC for the hot Roman days. Tastefully decorated with a wonderful en suite bathroom. Access was secure and easy - fantastic not to have to worry about a key every time you leave!! Housekeeping services were great. Aline couldn’t do more for us on the few occasions we had questions - her response rate is phenomenal. I would recommend St Peter’s Manor to anyone thinking of visiting Rome without hesitation.
