Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Location great right on the edge of the city as we had a car. No designated parking but really easy to find somewhere to park. Clean property which is super clean. Great restaurant below the property which trains adults with learning disabilities to work in hospitality. Book if staying at the weekend as was really busy. Huge family rooms

United StatesWhile the location is close to the main train station (great if you're using it as a connection spot or just to crash) it's a bit far from downtown - walkable but it takes time & effort. No shops or anything nearby. There are buses but not easy to figure out and still a bit of a walk to buses too. Also, I wish there was a tea kettle and or a small kitchen or something, as well as a shared space to hang out. There's a restaurant, but still, it's nice when you can easily make a tea/coffee at your own room and or prep a small bite as when traveling for an extensive time you get tired and or wanna skip eating out all the time! Has more of a hotel than hostel vibe.
The place is very clean, the shared room was spacious with very comfy bed/pillow and it was nice the shared bathroom was in the room and pretty big. The housekeeping changed the towels and made the beds everyday. The wifi 🛜 worked well. The receptionist spoke great English and she was super nice. The room temp. was very good. Also, great that there's self check in - after reception hours.

United KingdomThe reception should be open more hours and have a fiscal receptionist available for arrivals as the system to check-in is different from other hotels when is after 12pm, however, there is number for emergency and the staff picked up and explained all properly. I would love if they have breakfast available, but a few steps from the hostel there is an amazing bakery so all good.
The location was perfect, near the station and the old town. I had a feeling more like a hotel than a hostel. The receptionist in the morning was very friendly and personalised a route for me in the map to see the most popular spots in Venice and was very helpful. I will definitely recommend this hostel. Very cosy 😉

United KingdomThe entry on Booking.com says there's a bar and restaurant. However the restaurant does not sell drinks other than with meals. No breakfast options. No guest kitchen, No common room/area. Bit of a trek into the centre (20-30 min). Very limited reception hours, none of the four bedside lights worked. No hostel 'vibe'
Never before in a hostel have I found the staff (re) made the beds every day and provided two new towels day. Modern, scrupulously clean, large lockers. Single beds rather than bunks in the four bed dorm. Large shower/loo.

IrelandThe room didn’t have a coffee machine or hot kettle so don’t forget to bring water at least.
It’s close enough to the train station and also close enough to most places around the centre. Self check-in was easy and the room was comfortable.
