Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SlovakiaThe accommodation was amazing, the owner was helpful, interested, kind, allowed early check-in. The most beautiful accommodation in the city we have ever been to, you are literally part of living Rome. The view is incredible. Plus, there is a bus stop at the accommodation. An elevator is available for people with mobility problems. Perfect, we will definitely be back.

United KingdomAs the flat is in the tourist hub, the traffic is very heavy and it's noisy, even during the night, but the host found a solution for that and provided noise cancelling ear plugs! 😁
The place is great! Clean, spacious, with a great view and amazing location! 10 min to Colosseum, 10 min to Fountain di Trevi, 10 min to Pantheon. It's very easy to get into, the host is giving a very detailed instruction in case he can't meet you in person. Available if you need anything, very helpful, made even a list with the best restaurants and coffee places to make it easier for guests.

CanadaAll was good. Our flight was late so had to do self check in. We did get good and detailed instructions but are seniors and it still took us a while but it is good that this option is available.
Great location, could walk to restaurants and attractions. Super clean, well furnished, helpful and responsive host. Really loved everything about it.

United KingdomNot a huge amount!
The location of the property is first class. It’s handy for all of the major attractions and public transport links. Breakfast is served in a neighbouring cafe which was very cool!

United StatesTraffic noise outside might bother some. There's no window covering in the living room, where the third bed is. Bathroom setup is a bit weird.
The location is great and the living room is spacious. Breakfast at the Cafe was a wonderful start to the day.

CanadaThe place was a bit difficult to find - maybe some instructions that are a bit more specific. But - this could have just been me. I bet more experienced travellers wouldn’t have any difficulty. I would also suggest that they change out the in-room coffee maker for a kettle. It would be a bit more convenient.
I really liked the ambiance - the view was great. You are right in the heart of historic Rome. The staff were very friendly. I loved being minutes away on foot from all the sights that were high on my list of “must sees”. I also liked going down to the bar for breakfast - great coffee - and a chance to be with the locals.

The Flat is really in Downtown Rome. Next to Piazza Venezia. Only a couple of steps to the major sights of the historical city. Flat is divided into two single apartments (2/3 persons). We use both for family of five. Breakfast typically Italian in a Bar next to the flat.

United KingdomThe bath plug doesn’t really work, not a major issue but needs some attention. The road is slightly noisy outside at night but this isn’t the fault of the property, its the price of being so central
We loved the location, you can really use it as a base to explore and also come back to quickly if you need a rest. The views from the property were great and the cleanliness and engagement from the property was all first class

United KingdomAll good !
Lovely apartment, top story looking out at the city with a great view. Room was really nice size, and a lovely big bedroom as well. Air Conditioning was brilliant, as some can be hit or miss, walking into the room after the heat outside was so nice !! Location was spot on, with everything in walking distance if you wanted. Owners we're lovely, and the breakfast which was in a little cafe down the road was great too !

TurkeyBreakfast is served as sandwiches and drinks in a cafe below the hostel. With the voucher given to you, you can buy a sandwich or a croissant, a hot and a cold drink, and a fruit salad. Since we, as Turks, have a wide breakfast culture, it seemed a little inadequate to us. There was wifi in the B&b. However, we could not access the internet in the bedroom. Since there was only a door between us and the next room, we could hear enough to understand the conversations of the people in the other room. There was little to no privacy.
The location of the hotel was great. We could walk everywhere in 15-20 minutes. Since the b&b is right in the square, you can go anywhere you want with the buses leaving right in front of it. The view was very beautiful. the rooms were spacious and clean

AustraliaWe liked it all! Thank you to the staff who were so welcoming! The breakfast cafe for breakfast was a little bit of a let down and there was very limited choice.
It was wonderful to have such a spacious and comfortable room in the centre of Rome. It was close to sights such as The Colosseum, The Forum and The Trevi Fountain. Great location with lots of cafes, restaurants and bars. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

SerbiaThis apartment is bigger than on the photos, it is comfortable and warm (we were there in January). The location is perfect, on Piazza Venezia, you can see Capitoline Hill and Vittoriano from the windows, Theatre of Marcellus is just around the corner, and Colosseum, The Roman Forum, Arch of Constantine are minutes walk from the apartment. There are cafes, restaurants, bars, gelaterias, pizzerias and shops nearby. From Piazza Venezia to Piazza del Popolo runs famous street Via del Corso, with shops, restaurants, galleries and churches. Pantheon, Vatican, Fontana di Trevi, Spanish steps, Piazza Navona, all of it is at a walking distance. Breakfast is served in a bar downstairs (the bar itself is open 24/7), and is ok. Taxi stop is downstairs, bus terminus is in front of the building, bus stop for hop-on-hop-off is behind the building... So, it is so convenient, that you can go out in the morning, see what you want, have lunch, come back to your room, relax, and than go out again, because everything is closeby, and Rome is very, very lively city, from early morning to late evening. Many museums, galleries, even basilicas are open until 8 pm, and there are night visits to Colosseum as well. Our host Massimiliano gave us some tips for food, where to eat (from fine dining to street food), which was very helpful. All in all, this is a great place for visiting Rome. Plus the apartment is in the old building, so it gives you that special vibe of Rome, because Rome is old, it is ancient, you can feel it and see it (and smell it) while you're there.
