Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainStreet numbers are confusing. They go up one side and down the other. Arriving late at night finding the place can be a challenge. There are several entry key pads by the front door to aid the confusion. There are no staff on duty most of the time.
Location was fairly quiet, considering that it is in the heart of Rome. There are bars, restaurants and a mini market close by. Room was very clean and comfortable. Shower was good. Lift to 3rd floor was ancient, but worked well. Staff were friendly and helped storing luggage on our day of departure.

IsraelThe bathroom was basic with a shower within the bath that did not have adequate protection for the water going on the floor. The simple addition of a shower curtain or larger glass sides to the shower would be desirable.
The only personal contact at the hotel was with the lady who cleaned daily who was extremely helpful.

United KingdomSometimes the door was left open which wasn't ideal.
The location was great, and it was very easy to find and access the room if you follow the instructions correctly. However, remember to either memorize these or have them with you. Some people might hate this, but I didn't see a member of staff the whole time I was there - this was actually a relief to me as I was doing a lot of interaction for work during the day and being able to go to my room undisturbed was great.

SpainThere is secure garage parking just next door for an additional charge which was perfect. The only downside was they double charged us and didn't want to return the overpayment. They said there had been a misunderstanding due to the language barrier during the booking process but it was an Italian friend who made the booking in person the day before. They did refund us after the same Italian friend came and had a discussion with them but it all felt a bit like a scam for tourists so be careful when you book! I must stress this is NOT anything to do with Target rooms this a separate service.
The staff were fantastic, responding quickly to all questions. The self check in was simple and when I left something in the room after check out she messaged me with a photo of the item and left it behind reception for me to collect. The location was amazing, walkable to the Colosseum and other major tourist attractions. We would definitely stay again.

UkraineTV didn't work. Hotel charged city tax from 3 years old child (but in Rome child should have at least 10 years to be charged city tax) - and it's not the hotel's fault, but the booking.com's fault (which is not controlled by hotel), because it was the booking.com that calculated it that way!
Very fast answer and easy check-in, check-out also easy and fast. Good wifi signal. Pretty big room.

CanadaSome kind of breakfast or on-the-go emergency food option and a more personalized check-in (minimum in-person interaction at least once during the stay) would have boosted this already very good experience and review to a 10.
Location was great, next to McDonald's for a quick breakfast, as well as supermarket. Very close to the metro and the Roma Termini and walking distance to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and restaurants. Wifi with streaming TV (Netflix), comfy bed, and decent size room.

RomaniaI liked the positioning of the location, it was easy to reach the central side of the city by foot and further sides by bus. It was pretty silent during nights, there was a pizza place nearby (very tasty), a restaurant downstairs (check the opening hours, it's not opened all day), places to get coffee or fresh fruit, pretty much all you need. The room wasn't that big (apparently I was looking at the wrong pictures), but it was enough since not much time was spent there. The bed was actually twin beds that where very easy to move (baby almost fell between the matrasses :) ), so if you're travelling with a child, do make sure to request a cot. AC was working, and was a must since it was pretty warm. The cleaning lady came daily. There was also a mini fridge in the room and working TV. It was a self checkin - beside the cleaning lady couldn't see anyone else. Before the arrival received all details on whatsapp (pretty straightforward, had no issues getting in). Overall it was a pleasent place.
