Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PortugalThe room was underwhelming. It was quite small, without closets for our clothes or to put away our suitcases. The bathroom door was loud enough that I was worried it would wake up my partner. If you're a light sleeper be aware that you'll hear cars passing outside and an exhaust/vent sound all day long. There were only two wall sockets, which made it tricky to charge all the devices we needed (regular tourist fair such as smartphones, powerbank, camera). I could not get my ipad to connect to the wifi but the other devices had no problem. It is not located in a great part of town. Walking there at night we came across dark streets, homeless people and rats.
The hotel is in a very central location and has 24 hour check in, which was useful because our flight was delayed and we got there at about midnight. The reception has free coffee and tea for most of the day. After that you need to pay, but 70 cents for a coffee is no problem. The breakfast was nice and always came in hand.

IrelandRoom was tiny- we were 2 singles and beds were pushed together. No room to put our bags etc. Bathroom was uncomfortably small- I'm not an overly large or tall person but the shower was too small for me to even move in.
Good location, 24h reception, nice breakfast included. Place was clean and tidy.

ItalyNoise from trains/trams/cars in the nearby road at night. No elevator For the italians: the bidet was an uncomfortable in-toiet system (but it works)
Close to 2 metro stations (8mins walk - for Rome, that is minimal walking) GREAT breakfast, in terms of variety, quantity, quality VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF available 24/7 The neighborhood seems quite safe and there are a lot of restaurants and some mini markets close by

Hungary*The beginning of the street where the hotel is located is a bit overcrowded and chaotic but this hwas nothing to do with the hotel itself, juts be prepared *at breakfast there was no salty pastry only white and wholegrain bread, which was kind of dry, and the cold cuts were very good so it was a pity that there was only bread which was kind of dry, no eggs ( but I was fine with the lot of sweets, just an information) *the room and bathroom is extremely small, but fine to sleep in ( the bed is fine!) *only one socket in the bedroom, another one in the bathroom *THE BIGGEST PROBLEM! : THE DOORS ARE CLOSING EXTREMELY LOUD SO IF YOU DON'T HOLD THEM WHILE YOU ARE CLOSING THEN IT IS LIKE AN EXPLOSION TO THE EAR. AT MIDNIGHT WHEN SOME PEOPLE CAME HOME AND DID NOT HOLD THE DOOR WHILE CLOSING WE JUST WAKE UP TO THE EXTREMELY LOUD BANG :( THERE ARE ANTI-COLLISION SOLUTIONS FOR THIS WHICH WOULD NOT COST A LOT, BUT WOULD AVOID SUCH INCONVENIENCES * for us the WiFi did not work AT ALL we told this át the reception, they promised to check it, and the receptionist showed us that for her it was connected and working...so maybe it only connected to italian SIM cards...
*The receptionists were very nice and friendly, helped in everything, they speak english very well :) *It is close to the Metro ( vittorio emanuel) and also to Termini ( train and metro) *I liked the sweet things at breakfast, they had a lot of options ( crossiant, filled, not filled, cakes etc...) they are all yummy, also the coffee( there are a lot of options, even hot chocolate), juices are completely fine, cold cuts (2-3 types also very italian and lovely) *baggage storage after check out :) *if you wanna walk to Colosseum/Vatican/downtown, it is an easy walk from the hotel *window in the bathroom :) I like it, it is important *even though it is very close to a busy street, the noise from the street does not come in

SlovakiaThe information about the distance from the train station is misleading.
The location is great, however it was definately not 200 m, but 700 m from the train station! The staff was very nice, gave all the information right away. The room had older equipment, the bathroom had a midsize shower, however the bed and the overall experience was good. The breakfast was great, lots of sweet cakes, croissants, salami, ham, cheese, coffee, juice etc. They even had fresh fruit. Overall, good value for the money, delicious breakfast, bathroom with toileteries, but not super cozy.
