Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThis was a great spot with a beautiful view of Montepulciano. Our room was comfortable and well equipped and we did the wine tour with pasta lunch which was delicious. The staff were all lovely and very accomodating. I highly recommend staying here.

United StatesNot really anything negative to say - room may be a bit sparse of decor but honestly I didn’t go there to sit in the room and stare at the walls 😀
Outside the city with great view of surrounding area. Wine was great too! Very relaxing area and the people who greeted us were very friendly and helpful!

United StatesThat we didn't have more time to enjoy a swim in the beautiful pool!
The location was perfect--very peaceful and secluded with just a short drive into town. The room had plenty of space and the bed was very comfortable. Check in was a breeze, too. The morning breakfast was great with so many options. We were able to do a quick wine tasting and were very impressed. The owner and his wife were very gracious and we enjoyed talking with them.

United StatesThe room was a bit depressing, and seemed like an afterthought to the beauty of the grounds. There wasn’t a single picture hung up - just white walls. Bathroom and room needs a remodel to make it pleasant inside- not just functional.
The location was one of most beautiful properties of our trip. The staff was excellent and went above and beyond. Breakfast was excellent and served outside with a view.

Beautiful location, and wonderful staff. We were unexpectedly without a car and the owner arranged for a taxi from the train station for us. You can take a quiet road to walk into Montepulciano in about an hour. We saw many people hiking it! Otherwise it’s a short drive and beautiful town to visit. The rooms are spacious and clean, plenty of hot water, comfortable pillows/beds, and they are one of only a few organic vineyards in the area. Highly recommend!

United KingdomSuda was accommodating and very welcoming. Her Vineyard tour was interesting and the Manvi wines are delicious. The breakfast is simple but all that is needed. The location is stunning but does require a car to drive along a dirt road for a mile or so (its worth it for the serenity and peace). We didn't manage to speak to Sudas husband as he was busy with the harvest but the brief interaction we did have proved that he is passionate and proud of his wines. Would recommend and revisit.

United KingdomThe Grapevine by Manvi is in a truly stunning location. The owners and all those that work at the Manvi are extremely welcoming and hospitable and dedicated to their craft. The Manvi has been lovingly converted into a wonderful B&B by the current owners and is perfect for a peaceful break. We had a wonderful stay and only wished it could've been longer. We would recommend anyone staying book in for the tour and wine tasting to complete the trip.

ItalyNothing major but I guess the breakfast could have been better. The street to Manvi was bad but it is not because of the lack of maintenance of the ownner.
The view was incredible. It was a very quiet place with an amazing view. The room was spacious, very relaxing experience. The staff was very humble. There were 2 very cute cats.

United KingdomLoved our few days spent at Grapevine by Manvi, a small family owned and run vineyard. The location is very rural, so you need a car and the track is bumpy with potholes as this is a working Vineyard in the middle of beautiful countryside. We chose this beautiful place because we wanted to experience staying in the middle of vineyards in Tuscany. The owners were very friendly and made time to chat and made us feel very welcome. The other staff were absolutely lovely. We had 3 rooms for our family of 5 and they were comfortable, clean, rustic and more than adequate for us. And we were pleased there were no TV's in the rooms! It was great to simply have time to play cards, read and simply be. We enjoyed a wine tasting which informative and interesting. And we loved the lunch we had. Breakfast was simple and tasty. Coffee delicious. All our family enjoyed the pool and we liked to see different people coming and going for the wine tastings during the day. It all added to the charm. Montepulciano was a 12 minute drive away. We walked up to an amazing view point to watch the sunset. One of the best sunsets and views we've ever seen. Good choice of restaurants in this medieval town, book before you go. And a really great more local restaurant closer by (still a drive away) very reasonably priced. The views from Grapevine by Manvi were spectacular. Wonderful place.
