The elevator is insufficient and if you are somehow handicapped or have a problem with stairs it can be a problem.

The location is superb if you are traveling within and about Rome. A good breakfast is always served on the top floor. YOu have to worry about the seagulls but it is interesting.

Be sure sufficient and working device electrical outlets -- and good secured internet connection.

After our delayed flights from USA to Italy, and dealing with that and time change, it was hard to be in a good mood. I sent an email to the Hotel front desk regarding our 2+ hour delay in arrival, and they responded immediately, which greatly reduced my stress level. We have stayed at Independent Hotel at least 5-6 times, and especially after the long overnight flights, it always feels so good to check in to our comfortable, well-equipped rooms. And to boot, their efficient and friendly front-desk team welcoming us, and the speedy help with our luggage by capable and friendly staff. There was a bit of trouble at first with the internet connection, but front desk got it resolved. I would suggest more convenient and operational outlets - we all have several devices that need charging. It worked out OK but one of the outlets did not work. Breakfast is fabulous, as is the restaurant, both at lunch and dinner. Definitely recommend, both for the quiet atmosphere away from the general Rome chaos as well as the good food and great service. It's a welcome respite after a busy day -- and so convenient to get to your bed!

The elevator only fits two people (literally). Be mindful that it could take a while to be able to get in (or you could walk up the stairs that is sometimes faster), especially the day you plan to leave with your suitcases. It is an old building and they did so the best possible to even get an elevator in, not complaining, just awareness.

It was right off the Central Train Station, super convenient to get from the airport and to get around easily. Short walk. Also, the staff was really great. The waiter in the restaurant, Juan Carlos, makes a great coffee!

Breakfast very good. Location good, but if you aren’t using the busses or metro would be better in a more quaint neighborhood. But Access to the hotel was great. I was able to get ice. The bar was great with music. Staff was exceptional all around.

I didn’t enjoy being condescended for not knowing how to speak Italian by food staff as a foreigner. The room has no tub which would have went well with the ambiance and the view and location is not particularly great, but understandable.

Breakfast was better than average with great roof top scenery. The hotel was room was double sided with huge comfortable bed and pillows and huge tv. Had a big fridge and very upscale room and clean overall.

The location is excellent. The hotel is located in the heart of Rome, just a short walk from many of the city's most famous attractions. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The rooms are decorated in a modern style, and they are very comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The staff is always willing to help with anything you need, and they go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The hotel has a rooftop terrace with stunning views of the city. The rooftop terrace is a great place to relax and enjoy the views of Rome.

Room is small and bathroom setup which was close to the bed. Sound proof within the building is bad, one of the 5th floor apartment tenant was coughing all night long which kept us awake.
