Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Our host was very helpful. Delicious breakfast served right to our room. Everything in the room is freshly modernized. Very tasteful and comfortable. Right next to the train station but completely quiet at night. Very conformed bed!

The area around the hotel is not the best. Parking area is on the street. The room is on the ground floor and its entrance is in front of the parking area.
Spacious quadruple family room, renovated with good taste, comfortable beds and nice bathroom. Just a few minutes from the train station. The breakfast in the room next morning was a nice touch.

Very close to the train tracks. But it didn’t really cause me an issue. Worth it for the rapid access to the station and city.

Looked like it needed tidying up outside but party due to having work done on the building so it’s a temporary situation I would assume .
Obviously freshly upgraded… immaculate room with lovely bathroom and shower. Bed very comfortable. Facilities in the room and coffee and croissants served for breakfast. Ideal and a great price parking available

This property is an absolute gem—truly a stunning place that exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beautiful design, especially the feature wall, we were inspired for our next bathroom makeover (it’s that gorgeous!). Everything was spotless, and the bedding was soft and fresh, with a wonderful, clean scent. In the morning, we were treated to delicious coffee, juice, and a lovely breakfast that set the perfect tone for the day. The host and her son were incredibly kind and offered thoughtful recommendations that made our weekend even better. It was a fantastic stay, and this place really added something special to our trip. Highly recommended!

when we had our stay the heater wasnt workimg but that wasnt a big issue as there was still airconditioner. the train can be heard at night but we didnt think it was too bad. earplugs were also provided so it wouldnt have been an issue anyway.
such a lovely owner, we arrived slightly later than the last check in time due to our train but she was able to help us with the check in still, especially with the rain and everything. breakfast was delicious, locatiom is amazingly close by the train station. Their hallway also smell super amazing 🥰

I don't post any feedback but this property compelled me to do so..amazing staff, Very neat, clean and you'll find all the things you would like to have in a typical B&B. Highly recommended and no issues at all.. highly worth of money and it's cheap..they have carefully placed attention in ensuring each and everything for a room..

The only downside was that the noise from trains does carry to the apartment, and the trains start at an early hour.
The room was modern, well equipped and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was a great plus!

When we arrived, in the bathroom we found an envelop of an empty product, we supposed from the previous visitors. It wasn't a problem at all. Everything else, was great.
The breakfast was great. The place is very close to the train station. The hosts were super kind and friendly. The bathroom was big and it had all the amenities needed.

The room is very comfortable and clean. You have everything you need to have nice stay. It was very convenient to receive our keys and come back when room is get clean. A bit noisy because of train traffic but we were very tired and it did not affect us at all.

My stay at The Railway 74 was absolutely amazing. Perfect location just a couple of minutes walk away from the train station and the center of La Spezia. I really appreciated the staff member who brought me breakfast every morning.
