Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Perfect location it's like your own little apartment right across from the colosseum and immediate coffee shops and restaurants outside your door. Even with the location it's still quiet inside! Definitely recommend! Metro is very close and great communication with the host!

AustraliaBoth Andrea and Simona were welcoming and provided lots of help with recommendations for food and tourist sites. They were also quite personable, spoke English well, and made you feel at home. The view of the Colosseum from my bedside window was special. I would definitely rebook with Tre R again — such a fantastic experience.

United Statesall perfect
the best part was the location of you have a short time and want to see the colosseum, you open the front door and it’s across the st. next door are a few restaurants and a short walk is the famous fountain Trevi. we came for 1 night with a long layover and it was a perfect stay to see a small piece of Italy. the host was super helpful in getting me the address and how to get into the building. she also helped book my cab back to the airport early next morning. I think when you have a host who is on top of things, it makes things so much easier and more enjoyable. beds were comfy, room clean, location amazing

United StatesThe building also houses several cafes and private apartments. We stayed here in early April and slept with the windows open. The cafes can be noisy at night until 11 or 12, and you will hear traffic noise as well. However, when closed, the windows offered very good sound deadening, and there is a mini-split AC/heater in the room.
This is one of a suite of three adjacent ground floor rooms located in a building across from the Colosseum. There is a small common area with a printer, coffee maker and hot water kettle, and with books and literature to borrow or browse. The room is first accessed via a door code at the front of the building, up about six shallow steps, then another key code for the entry to the common area. Each room has its own physical key. Our room was cleaned daily and had a dorm refrigerator, armoire, a small writing desk with coffee maker and hair dryer. There was a queen bed and a separate single bed. Both were comfortable, though not extremely so. There were coupons providing each guest a free coffee and pastry at one of the cafes next to the front entrance. There was no washer, though laundry services were nearby. The bathroom was modern with a toilet, bidet, and lots of hot water in the shower. The upper Colosseo Metro station entrance/exit is a three-minute walk away. Note there is a lower Metro entrance/exit at Colosseo which puts you on the same street level as the Colosseo entrances, but if you exit at the lower level, you will have to walk back uphill to the room or go back into the station and find the stairs leading to the upper level. Colosseo is two stops from Rome Termini, which is both the main metro station and the train station with direct train service to the Rome airport (FCO). From here you are a five-minute walk to the Colosseum itself, and in fifteen more minutes you are at the Circus Maximus and Palatine Hill. The Church of St. Peter in Chains is a block away and houses a sculpture of Moses by Michelangelo. There are many restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, and gift shops on via Cavour, a ten-minute walk away. Our host communicated with us in English via Whatsapp, and provided answers, recommendations, and all the information we needed.
