Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesGreat location. Only drawback is it’s right on a small square which has nightly entertainers that play from 8pm to midnight. It also seems to share a wall with a disco. Lastly you can hear all the hallway noise. They have updated the windows which are surprisingly soundproof but it’s still noisy. For the price though it’s a great location, very clean and you simply choose to tolerate the noise….
Clean, nicely redone, helpful staff. Breakfast was nothing exceptional but comprehensive with lots of good options. The value is excellent considering breakfast and cleanliness.

United StatesWe were there during a golf tournament so the cost of room was very high although we were not there to play or watch golf.
Friendly staff, clean room, walking distance to bars, restaurants and Roman ruins. Great breakfast. Next to a square where live music is played often and people gather. Fun to watch from your room and go downstairs and join the crowd. Great air conditioning and windows that shut out any unwanted noise. There are a few flights of stairs but there is an elevator available and hotel employees that are ready and willing to help. We arrived after hours and were given clear instructions of how to enter the building and access our room. Overall we were very happy with our stay at Tree Charme.

United KingdomVery noisy road. Bathrooms could do with additional hooks for towels and a shelf. Beds o the firm side Walls a bit thin, we could hear our neighbours
The location is just by the bridge and the entrance to Treastvere, it’s on a very busy road and although windows cut out most of the noise , if you want fresh air it’s very noisy! Very very clean

FranceNoise isolation of the rooms were poor, although they provide ear plugs, they should improve the noise isolation. The noises from street was not as disturbing but we could here the shower of the next rooms we was strong enough to wake us up from deep sleep.
Very friendly stuff, perfect location in the center of live district with bars and restaurants and additionally in walking distance to anywhere one would like to visit. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

RomaniaThe only issue, which is well known to Tree Charme is the noise in the square. Musicians play every evening and it is terribly loud. The establishment has done everything in their power to have the decibels lowered but this has unfortunatly come to nothing with the local authorities. It is not the fault of Tree Charme.
The rooms are very clean, with very helpful and friendly staff. There was a mini bar in the room, a kettle and coffee. The bed was very comfortable, the view was lovely looking out onto the Trelussa square. This small establishment is really very nice but the walls are super thin. Being next to the breakfast bar (which by the way was very good) it got noisy during the breakfast set up. A plus, is the amazing location, right in the middle of Rome where everything is in walking distance: All the obvious sites, great food, markets, small shops.

SpainIf you have a room on the ground floor next to reception, it’s not comfortable as in the morning there’s the noise from breakfast and guest check out. Other than that it’s a fair & comfortable room but I wouldn’t have characterised it as luxury.
The location is amazing, in the heart of Trastevere close to many good restaurants and walking distance to all main sights in room. The room is clean and the beds are comfortable

United StatesThe last night we were there was a little loud from the square outside, but they do provide ear plugs and I wouldn't let that stop me from booking again.
We loved staying in Trastevere. This is a vibrant neighborhood with delicious restaurants/cafes, a more local feel and within walking distance to the top tourist sites of Rome. This hotel sits right on the river and is a perfect location for exploring Rome without staying right in the touristy area.

United KingdomThe stairs to get into the apartment were very steep so it was difficult getting a big suitcase up and down. Bathroom doors didn't lock and the showers were quite small, water didn't drain well. We could have done with some hooks in the bathrooms and a shower caddy.
We stayed in apartment 22B Via della Lungaretta. Location was great - quiet and with restaurants and shops on the same street, an 8 minute walk from the main facility. The living room was nice and spacious with a big, comfy sofa and a dining table with chairs. The cupboard folded out into a kitchen, which was very clean and included a sink, hob and fridge. The bedrooms were a decent size, beds were comfortable and we were provided with lots of extra towels and pillows. The air conditioning worked really well. They had an en suite bathroom per bedroom and 2 TVs in the apartment. They even provided us with a handy map of Rome. Staff were friendly and quick to respond to any questions or issues we had, both before and during our stay - big thanks to Angela for all her help :)

Located at the foot of a popular bridge crossing, lots of evening partiers. Rooms are relatively quiet, but outside the door, one is in 'the thick of things'.
