Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The location was very central to a lot of the main tourist attractions. There was no issues whatsoever from the host anything I had to ask was answered right away. Amazing stay and would highly recommend this place

I would only suggest more
Everything was amazing! Room was very clean and comfortable, the owner really put effort to communication and makes sure you do not miss anything. Location is very good, street is calm but has bars and restaurants, so you are all covered. I would come here again next time :)

The property is in a great location surrounded by beautiful restaurants and shops. You are a stone throw away from lots of landmarks including Trevi fountain, Spanish steps and the Pantheon. As there isn’t a receptionist in this guesthouse all the communication is done through what’s app. You are given really clear instructions and the lady is lovely. We would recommend to friends and family.

Lovely room, in a good location. Nice size shower. Great communication, good clear instructions. Would have been nice to have a kettle in the room rather than a shared kettle or at least 2 decent size cups per room rather than paper cups. Restaurant on the left as you come out of the apartment door is really nice.

Checking in and out was smooth and they let us leave our luggage after check out so that we could stroll around a bit before our flight. The lady contacting us was super friendly and helpful, thank you!

No real view from the room.
The Location was excellent , a few minutes from the Spanish Steps , also the host contacted us a few days before we arrived & was extremely helpful from that point & throughout our stay

It was a pleasure to stay in this apartment ! Everything was perfect, stuff is really helpful and nice! Location is great, 3 min to Spanish steps, 5mins to Trevi Fountain! Everything clean and fresh!

located in the historical center. Convenient self-checking system. Comfortable bed, everything is new. Purely. The hostess sent all the instructions with detailed photos in advance and responded quickly in the chat.

Nothing, perfect place
This is not my first time at this place, the host is very very kind and very pleasant, helped us with everything we needed and everything we asked for, I visited once as a couple and once with friends and both times were simply wonderful and I have no doubt that I will return here again!

The bathroom window doesn’t close, and with the old AC and heating system, it gets quite cold at night—especially when you have to go after being all warm in bed. ( Room 102 San Pietro)

Would have preferred real cups to paper ones. A heated towel rail would be a bonus.
The location was fabulous - in the heart of everything. Carlotta, the host was extremely helpful and responded very quickly to questions. Bed was comfortable and shower was great.

The property does not have a lift. I have a tendinitis in my wrist and had to pull up a big suitcase upstairs. It is not a big issue but guests must be told in advance. I have only discover this when I arrived to the property

Everything was perfect
The best apartment we’ve stayed in so far. The owner was so helpful, each time when we needed help, she replied back in no time. Location is perfect. We had our room cleaned every day with fresh towels and new shower gels. Made our vacation the fullest.

excellent location - all "must-see" points within walking distance. Very good contact and very helpful staff. Right below the tenement house there are two restaurants serving delicious Italian dishes at very moderate prices. I highly recommend it to people who want to visit Rome

Only improvement I can suggest is wifi was a bit spotty even after we tried resetting and perhaps something on Tv that can be in home language…I.e some apps like Netflix etc. only suggestions…but would never stop us from staying here again 😀
Staff were very nice and always available for questions. Room and building was very clean and hallways well lit. Easy to get extra towels etc and we were able to borrow umbrella. Location was excellent as easy to walk to several landmarks and taxi stand 2 minutes away when your feet were tired.
