Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsIt would have been nice if the landlord would have told us about the dogs. We are assuming the two big dogs belong to them, which they let walk outside freely sometimes. My partner is scared of big dogs so this became a problem. They could have at least introduced us to the dogs as that would have already helped my partner understand how they tick. The first time we noticed that there were dogs was when we were in the pool and a huge Doberman started circling the pool out of nowhere and we had no clue what was going on. There is also a locked door in the apartment that we assume leads to the room in their house where the dogs sleep. We could hear the dogs behind it in the evening. These are things that will worry someone who has this big fear of big dogs. So please, mention that you have them and if you are going to let them walk around unsupervised, then introduce your guests to them. They gave us a lot of information, which to be honest, became rather confusing at one point. At one point we thought the pool and whirlpool were not actually included although on booking it was insinuated. Their information needs to be more concise and straightforward. In the end, we did understand that the pool and whirlpool were included until 7pm, they were just offering us extra services for after 7pm. They communicated a lot but they didn’t communicate how to use the AC (if it even works). We needed it pretty late in the evening so there was no way of finding out how it works (I wasn’t about to text them at midnight). I tried hard to turn it on, and from my impression, the AC does not work. That was a huge bummer as it was so hot inside. If it does work, and I just couldn’t figure it out, then it would be nice for them to leave a manual in case somebody notices that they need it later in the evening. The breakfast was a bit of a bummer as it just consists of espresso capsules for the coffee and grocery store (packaged) filled croissants.
The apartment was beautiful and had most appliances needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the access to high quality TV with a streaming service was very appreciated by us. The decor was beautiful and stylish. They left us a cold water bottle in the fridge, which was super nice. It provides towels, bathrobes, blow dryer, and even shampoo and shower gel. The pool was clean, modern, and refreshing. You share it with others. My partner and I rarely saw those other people so it mostly felt like we had the pool and whirlpool to ourselves. It is mandatory for people with long hair to wear swimming caps, which are provided by them. There are chairs to lie down and tan and there were tables to eat outside. There is a grill but we were unsure if we were allowed to use it.

ItalyBreakfast that was included in booking price was a disappointment. per the owner the booking order includes #1 in the below option. option 2 is ~10 Euro PP. 1) standard breakfast with milk, Italian coffee espresso, or tea, and italian croissant 2) traditional continental breakfast with in addition fresh orange juice, eggs, Parma ham, butter and local jams. comment - the "italian croissant" are industrial in plastic bags, not fresh. but - other than breakfast all was wonderful!
the apartment is below the owner house. totally new. all is in very high standard. you can cook there & eat. the pool & Jacuzzi are the best - also here all is in very high standard. clean & beautiful. location is less then 10 minutes' drive from Parma city center. Paolo, the owner, was happy to assist with all requests. looks like he thought about all needs like Shampoo, conditioner etch. We loved it!!

United StatesA little far from any restaurants, but there is a kitchen if you want to cook something; we didn’t. Breakfast was a little skimpy.
Extremely clean, easy parking, the outdoor area was fabulous. The pool and hot tub were wonderful! Hosts were just fabulous and friendly. Were able to rent bikes and go into Parma.
