you can feel they are having a hard time getting staff. these people don’t know how to communicate with clients. You cannot tell the client during breakfast time that they can’t have any more eggs….

My husband and I loved everything about this place! The service, the food, the panoramic views are beautiful from breakfast or the bar. the pool area is lovely. We stayed in a deluxe room for some extra space which was well worth it!

Nothing really, just a lovely hotel.

booked a double room with balcony. We were on the 2nd floor, and had a fairly good view, and a lovely spot to sit and enjoy a glass of wine in our room. Hotel had a lovely cool tunnel and lift up to reception. Service was fantastic. Bar and Pool are stunning, set up on the hill, just gorgeous. Rooms are more traditional in style, but perfect for a stay. Had B&B, and the breakfast with a view is fab. We also enjoyed a lovely drink in bar, with plenty of canapes. Pool area lovely, towels included.

It was a tad expensive but then it is the Italian riviera. No do not disturb sign & it would be nice to have courtesy water in the rooms at that price.

Superior room was smaller than expected for the price and sea view was not over the Bay of Silence.

Great view from Sky Bar over Bay of Silence and pool area is good if a little crowded later in the day.

Tiny room, next to kitchen so noise from 7:30 until late at night. Smelt of chlorine from pool. Hotel felt a bit tired and old fashioned.

Service with staff left to desire.. welcomed by a valet on my arrival but no valet when I left. Had to manœuvre my car with difficulty as the parking space was very narrow. Décor a bit too old fashioned. The whole dining room and bedrooms should be refurbished fir an hotel of that standard .

The exceptional view

I paid via booking.com to secure an upgrade to a room with sea views . At check in I was told I had received another ‘upgrade’ to a room which didn’t have a Seaview but was larger in size . I was too tired to discuss so accepted their recommendation I would be getting a better outcome . Little did I know my upgraded upgrade room was directly under the kitchen /restaurant and there was no soundproofing meaning I could hear furniture being moved / people speaking (there were internal air vents near the bed) from around 7am til 11pm each night. On the second night I was offered a move which was kind but it was already late in the evening and I was checking out the next morning. Rainy weather meant I was spending more time in the room than I would normally.

This hotel’s best assets are its friendly staff , especially those at the roof top, it’s location and views from rooftop bar and dining room. Check in staff were helpful in explaining info about cinque Terre.

Despite their young age, the staff did not manage to clean the restaurant during breakfast. They made a poor impression in their rumpled shirts and sloppy clothes a pity . Unfortunately the staff was more busy talking to each other than cleaning the table .Pity, Small room a bit claustrofibic
