This accommodation is listed as a 'hostel' and we chose it for the budget price. We found the communal areas were littered with other guests personal belongings which were left out to dry ie on the stairs and hanging in the shared shower and toilet rooms There were 2 communal showers and toilets but only one shower and one toilet was working when we stayed I was disappointed when my shower started hot then very quickly went cold and did not heat up again for the duration.

Great location, 5 minutes to a varied selection of local restaurants and bars. Directly opposite 'Rick's Cafe' which was really good and made it easy to find. We stayed one night in a private room which was clean and adequate for the price we paid. The room came with a bed, towels, a fan and shelving. There were no mirrors in the bedrooms.

Noise from Rick's Cafe and neighbors: When booking this hotel, I had no idea what it meant to be across the street from Rick's Cafe, a famous Negril venue. While this was a bonus point for other reviewers, it was a major factor negatively impacting my vacation. Rick's is open from noon to 10 pm and you will hear some music at all times but from approximately 6 pm until closing, the volume and bass go up significantly. This being Jamaica, the neighbor roosters and goats will ensure you don't miss your flight!

The grounds are beautiful with a lush garden and a nice pool. It is walkable to several restaurants. The staff were so kind and helpful.

racism other white lady was allowed to stay in her room until 7 in the night, I exit my room in time and they weren't disgruntled about me still being on the property playing dominoes with the same lady. I was going to book another night but the oproach was a bit rude so I decided against it and I'm very unhappy about that given that I stayed there before for four nights and didn't change the sheets once and I accepted their apologies only to find out I was the only once who face that problem I wouldn't recommend it to anyone of African decent

Noise from dogs on the first night and there was a lot of wind on the second night that made the shutters rattle and fruit fell off the trees and hit the roof ,awake all night ,cheked out 2 days early as needed some sleep.

When we arrived we couldn't enter the premises because there was no one available to attend to us. We had to seek assistance next door to get in contact with the person responsible for letting us in. On the day of check out we left the room before check out time and asked the gentleman who is caretaker and also an administrator of the property if we can leave our luggage and wait in the common area while we waited for our taxi in the afternoon, to which he replied "That is no problem". I then went to get lunch and when I came back at around 1pm it then started to rain but he insisted on asking us several times to leave. He also instructed one of the nicest members of staff to order us to leave for the very last time while it was still raining, I found it very inhospitable otherwise it was a good stay.

Common area and kitchen was very well equipped and the pool was ok.

The bed is like sleeping on a lumpy cement block. To get toilet paper ,towels, or trash bags ,you have to track someone down to get it, although the two Jamaican ladies asked if we needed anything when they walked by. The superior villa, which i stayed in for 2 weeks does not look as nice as the pics online. The pool is only 4 feet deep and could be cleaner.

The tropical setting was nice. The two Jamaican ladies that work there were awesome.

I did not realize our villa did not have AC. I was miserable all night. Also, there was a major ant problem in the bathroom. The ants were pretty big and it looked like they had made a home in the wall. I had to have my husband go in before me and kill them each time I needed to go.

Jordan was a great host on the property. He explained everything well and was available for questions.

We found our room very small and poor ventilation. There are basically two rows of small rooms on either side of a hallway. We were on 2nd story. The fan and window opening were inadequate to cool down. The shared bathrooms had nowhere to put toiliteries - no shelves. Also no shelves for shampoo in the shower. Everything on floor. Very basic. We stayed in much better places (even some with air conditioning) so shop around for a better deal. Very disappointed except for the gardens.

The location is good if you like to be close to Rick's Cafe. The gardens are lovely.

UPDATE Absolutely ridiculous. In an attempt to try and discredit my review, you have lied. We arrived at 16.30. We did not stay in a basic room. none of our rooms were basic. One was a simple studio and the other was a garden cottage, with a kitchenette. I do not lie. EVER. I also was informed that I could park anywhere on arrival; and was not going to drink and drive because I was parked in a place that you didn't like last thing at night. If it was an issue then I should have been informed on arrival. Lastly, I think I am above Jamaicans??? what absolute rubbish, my dad is Jamaican. Good day, any place worth its weight listens to what is an issue and thanks the guests for feedback and the fact that you feel it acceptable to lie is ridiculous, I was not rude to anyone except the really rude security guard. Not as stated in the picture. Over priced and not even any basic refreshments in an overpriced room. staff was not even aware we were coming and rooms were not ready even though we arrived late.

I booked the dorm shared room for 1 week. On arrival the lady showed me the doem room which exceeded my expectation for a Dorm- However inwas not showed around the place which has a number of different same coloured rooms available. I went out on the evening when I came back the gate was locked I was unable to gain access A friend of mine had to climb over the gate and call the owner to open the gate- the owner did open the gate however did not show me the room so I ended up in another room. The next morning I had POLICE escorting me off this property although I feel if the owner would have escort me to my room on the evening I would not have had to have so much embarrassment and drama. I was so shocked and upset I would not ever return here or I would not recommend this place either for this reason The owner is very young but he's also very UNPROFESSIONAL
