Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NorwayLoved the vibes. Staff so friendly and welcoming. Not easy to cook something. Not much plates and cutlery. I bring my own bowl and spoon to make nudels..But lots of good food in all price ranges found near by. Perfect for backpackers.

DenmarkThe bathrooms were not nice
We liked: - The dorm beds were well-equipped and had privacy curtains. - The staff and especially the chef: Jarell :-) - The small café - The atmosphere – you could meet a lot of people

SpainIt is difficult to rest in a room with 24 beds and also hearing the cars of the street and the noise of other rooms! It should be acustic isolated Beds could have a place to put your glasses, a book or similars.
Good situation

United StatesThought this was a hostel for travelers, found out there were people living there including children. Nothing against that I just wish I knew before I came. Still hadva great time though
Location to Bob Marley museum and walking distance to some nice food places and a market. Staff was really friendly 👍

South AfricaNothing really. If I have to be picky is that you have to pay extra for towels (but only $1, so not really that bad). Doing the laundry is quite expensive. For a wash and dry, $18). All in all a great stay close to the Bob Marley Museum in a good area.
I'm not usually staying in hostels, but I must say this place is great!! Once you close the curtain, you have a very private space. Each bed has a place where you can charge your electronics as well as a reading lamp. There is a kitchen where you can prepare your own meals. The staff is exceptionally friendly. I also love the coffee shop, which you can enter from the hostel. All in all, I had a great stay. In Kingston, this is by far the best budget option to stay.

United States* The location of the hostel is weird. There are very limited options for grocery shopping & local eating within reasonable walking distance. There is a HiLo supermarket about 1 Km away - either walk there or take a route taxi (ask the staff how to). There is only 1 local eating restaurant ("The Lady's restaurant") one street away. Note that most places are closed on Sundays in Jamaica - so plan accordingly. * The hostel is right on a busy street. So if you get a bed close to the street, the road noise is significant most hours of the day. Either bring ear plugs or try to ask for a bed away from the street.
* Clean, comfortable beds * Staff is very helpful & friendly

Germany-Although there is air conditioning but it’s quite warm in the dorm. - although there are four hanging hook in each shower cabinet but i wish there is something like a small rack for the shower gel which brings by the self. - reception is not 24/7. There is nobody before 8 and after 18 i guess.
Friendly staff, very clean (in the dorm, bathroom, toilet and basin area). The lockers (there are two huge drawers) under each bed but don’t forget to bring your own lock. Wifi has good and fast connection.

GermanyI didnt like the dorms so much...since you have to stay with around 20 people (20beds) and you still have to pay over 25 Dollars. Thats a high price for a station full of beds and people. Its also a little much because you have a constant coming in and out....so I was really afraid I couldn´t sleep or rest at all....but in the end...everything was good...I slept great and I met great people ;)
Raggamuffin- The hostel is located perfectly - just around the corner of Bob Marley museum, next to a herb shop and bar in the middle of the city. The personal working there are more than helpful. They are beautiful people who help you out whereever you can. They also offer special things...like a drive to the Bob Marley Beach or a cooking class for free, they order you a taxi as cheap as possible, and they give you good advices and help if you have a problem. I also met great people from all over the world - I loved to talk to and exchange experiences. I loved my stay there and would always stay there again ....thanks to this wonderful people working there.

United StatesThe cafe next door seems to share a wall with the dorm - this does not allow for an early night's rest. There was an event happening there the night I stayed and it felt like the singing and talking was happening right in the dorm room.

SerbiaThey charge for everything. Almost. Towel 1 usd per night. Washing machine $7 per wash. 12 usd for drying?!! I won't say it's a bad place, because Jamaica is expensive, and the money you pay is ok. But I still think that towel and washing should not be charged or at least cheaper. I would also add that it is ugly that the staff allows guests to put their dusty feet on the table! And someone is eating on that table!
Location near Bob Marley Museum. Free filtered drinking water.

CroatiaA bit loud around 5/6am, kept us awake. Sounded like someone was cleaning but they had music on which made it louder. All good apart from that.
Cool hostel, good location in Kingston, New Kingston is quite safe. Comfortable beds and they have a bar if you need to get breakfast though it's not included. Really friendly and helpful staff. We only stayed one night but would stay again. WiFi is good.
