United StatesThe staff was inflexible. It took almost 1 hour to register 3 rooms upon arrival. The food was mediocre and the plumbing system was horrible. There was almost zero water pressure for the shower and the drainage was slow. They do not have room service and they are charging $250 for losing a wristband that does not have any special technology that would warrant that charge. Overall, the customer service was average.
The beach front convenience is amazing.

United StatesI am writing to formally lodge a complaint about my recent experience at Riu Reggae, specifically concerning the handling of my reservation and payment process by the front desk staff, Natalee and Libis. Upon my arrival at the hotel, I was informed that my reservation was only for one guest, which was unexpected as most hotel bookings typically accommodate two guests by default. When I requested to add another person to my room, I was shocked to learn that I would be charged over $800 for this addition. This charge seemed exorbitant and was not communicated to me prior to my arrival, causing immediate dissatisfaction and confusion. To resolve this issue, I contacted customer service for assistance. They assured me that they would update my reservation to reflect two guests at no additional charge. However, upon returning to the front desk, I was informed that the update had not been processed, despite waiting for 30 minutes. It was only after I insisted on seeing my reservation details that the update suddenly appeared. This delay and lack of transparency were frustrating and led to further inconvenience. Subsequently, when attempting to pay for my stay with a card, Natalee attempted to charge me an inflated price that contradicted the previously agreed-upon rate. She consulted with her supervisor, claiming that the price had increased, which was not the case according to my conversation with customer service. This discrepancy in pricing added to the confusion and dissatisfaction with the hotel's service. Due to the prolonged delays and lack of resolution at Riu Reggae, I was forced to book another hotel at the last minute after waiting for over three hours for a resolution. This unexpected additional expense and inconvenience further compounded my dissatisfaction with the situation and impacted my overall experience negatively. Overall, this experience at Riu Reggae was disappointing and fell short of the expected level of service and professionalism

United StatesThe food didn't have a lot to choose from and had the same food every night. How they didn't inform people that hurricane was coming on the days your would be there. They were putting people out of resort if they could not afford to stay due to the hurricane and the airport was shut down. They knew no one was checking in and they were putting people out. That was so wrong. Then the air was off in the room so they say and it was so hot could not sleep at all. I just think that was bad Business. You should not treat people wrong at a devastating time like that.

Everything, the buffet food, was awesome! Best food there. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner! The foam pool party was awesome, the All White Party, CRAZY FUN, the Michael Jackson show was DOPE! The Silent Listening party was a VIBE! THE BOAT PARTY was definitely worth it! Oh, and the Jerk Hut on the beach, 10 out of 10! And the drink was flowing nonstop 🤣. The staff were very nice and welcoming! My wife and I had a great time, and we will definitely be back

United StatesBooking for the Italian restaurant at 830pm gives you a very limited option on the buffet sides, as almost every dish was empty leaving very limited pre dinner option and staff was not as attentive. This was disappointing especially when we were here celebrating a birthday dinner.
The staff was exceptional, Shannan bubbles, shadow, Michelle, Spade 45 and all of the other entertainers. Loved all of the shows and the food was great. The room attendants were also great and responded to all request promptly. It was an overall great experience. I will definitely recommend for a great time.
