Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

TurkeyThe tents feels old, not well maintained and cheap material. It is the small details. Our tents glass was replaced by plastic thus in the evening the outside view was blurry. Also the picture shown on the booking page doesn’t match the actual tent.
The location is close to the road accessible by car. They have a nice camp with gathering places and free tea and water all day long. Our martial tent was on the front row, with privacy and nice view. The breakfast and dinner buffet was nice and enough choices. They organize various activities and all of the payment could be done with card.

United Arab EmiratesFirst of all I booked hassan zawaideh main camp for the experience and prepaid with booking.com but they tried to send us some other camp because they are overbooked which is isolated with more than 15mins drive far in the desert without even consulting us which dont give some atmosphere but after long call with owner they agreed to bring us back to main camp, however still Rooms were worn out and need maintenance, no standards across rooms, shower head was broken in first room and toilet room was not closing properly, second room for three only had one towel and never get the rest, also main door key stoped working and they had to change the lock
Great location, and nice evening atmoshpere

Belgium- rooms not so clean as advertised and not matching the price they sell at - staff a bit grumpy: we came to have breakfast a bit later but still in the breakfast timing, and the omelette guy seemed not very happy to be serving - jeep tour: there is no guide, only a driver. Luckily we had a German guest in the same jeep and she had a lot of knowledge to share with us during the tour that made our jeep tour nice. - campfire: very tiny campfire and we expected to dive into the local culture and see maybe some performances (as we are used to seeing in Dubai), but there were just 2-3 men dancing on random songs (some english songs, some house music etc.) --> didn't really feel authentic
The owner is very kind and hospitable. The location is amazing and easy to access with a car. Dinner buffet was quite large and breakfast as well. One night here was enough for us as a couple.

United KingdomWe expected the room with a big window, as it was pictured on the website, although we had a room with a small window without any view (we could see only the wall of the next tent), because we were 3 people, and tents with a view are provided only for 2 people. The water in the bathroom was quite cold.
The location and hosts are great. We had an amazing dinner and breakfast, and a lot of things to do.

New ZealandWe were initially put into one of two older blue Martian tents. Avoid these because they are old and broken. There were newer Martian tents available so annoyed we were put in an old one. Facilities at this camp are pretty basic and not much to do there. Staff were not particularly friendly in reception. Workmanship on even the newer Martian tents is pretty rough. No alcohol in Wadi Rum!
The location near the main road provided good access, and easy reach of Wadi Rum. The newer Martian tents are good, especially if you get one facing out onto the Wadi.

KenyaThe Martian tents are dated and had a very peculiar smell inside . Almost felt like inhaling some kind of fumes. The bathroom was leaky and the hotel is very close to the road - so all night you can see cars coming and going . Hard to stargaze as it was never really dark!
The food spread for dinner was really good !

Location was really good, the tour guide was good too which we paid it wasn’t included ofcourse .The dinner was more than our expectations it was too good.

BelgiumFor the price we payed, I expected much more. We booked 3 martian tents. The AC struggled during the day and only worked well during the night. There was alot of miscommunication around all possibilities about food. It show on their Booking page that llunch would be 7JOD, but apparently now it is 12 JOD. Definitely not worth that price. Our view over the desert was ruined due to us overlooking other camps. All in all not horrible, but there are definitely better options that are located within the Wadi Rum desert.
The room was very clean and diner was really good!

IcelandThe A/C in our room was really weak (essential to have in the desert) We booked two jeep tours (3h and 2h) - both of them we had terrible drivers/guides, unfortunately. Did not speak good English and were quite rude. Breakfast and lunch for vegetarians was quite poor.
Location is great and beautiful, ask for domes with good views! Owner is kind and helpful. The evening activities were really fun with dancers and fireplace! Dinner buffet was nice, even for vegetarians. Star gazing tour was fun (extra cost) I appreciated the unlimited free water, tea and juices at site.

SwedenThe room was very smelly, and the toilet smelled from the sewage. We asked the staff to do something about it, and they did what they could, but the smell is permanent from the textiles on the walls and roof.
The management tried to resolve any issues we had, and was always very friendly and hospidital. The buffé in the evenings was great, and there was a whide variety of foods to choose from. The area is fantastic, however, the camp is not officially located in Wadi Rum. Wadi Rum is the protected area but this camp is located outside of it.

United Arab EmiratesI booked this place after reading all positive reviews. It shows 9.9 rating in all areas of the facility. The facts are totally opposite. I would rate 2 or 3. I guess all reviews are fake. Beds were very uncomfortable. All my family members suffered with food poisoning after this stay. Food handling was absolutely not good. Staff were very rude. Specially the staff who were assisting in the dinning area.
Jeep tour was good. AC worked well.

QatarWe book the rooms expecting them as bubble camps, but they give normal rooms unless you pay a bomb. Our room was mediocre. No lock for toilet, no lights in the corridor, no bathroom mats, pathetic AC and the rooms were not clean (dusty). No complimentary water or tea / coffee bags. As for the sunrise safari, the trip was supposed to be for 30 mins (charge 35 JD), but it lasted only for 15-20 mins. Not value for money. If possible, avoid star gazing and sunset / sunrise safaris.
Decent breakfast. The person who took us for sunrise safari was well mannered and helpful. Also the room boy was kind.

NetherlandsNo need to stay here though we had a terrible experience with the staff (the kitchen staff were very friendly, I think it was the owner and manager who was so rude). A manager (or owner) sent someone to help us with our bags at first we declined but we were ignored and instead, the guy grabbed our bags and threw them at some random tent (it wasn't even our tent). We had also called earlier in the day to upgrade our tent to the Martial tent instead of the tent we had booked. Everything was fine over the phone the person was very friendly and welcomed our upgrade. We then arrived all was fine we confirmed the price and they said we could pay in the morning as it was very late and we were exhausted. The next day we went to settle up and to our surprise, we had only been quoted and upgraded for one night, not two which the original book was for. It made no sense and it was implied to us the entire time that we had gotten the price for two nights at no point did the hotel tell us that it was only one night. We then got told to wait as the owner is coming, this made it even worse. The owner then accused me of lying and that he had confirmed the price with me and that I was now lying about this. He was extremely disrespectful, referring to me as "this Claudia" when I was sitting right in front of him and had introduced myself at the beginning of the conversation. I've never been spoken to like this and was extremely surprised this would happen at a hotel. Extremely rude staff, very disrespectful, really go to one of the other places in the area.
The setting is very beautiful very peaceful to see all the stars

United StatesWe got a Martian tent, figuring we would splurge a bit. The tent smelled horrible (sewage smell), had some dirty linens, and was not cleaned well. We brought it to management’s attention and they sent someone to clean the bathroom - which mostly rectified the smell. The towels were well worn and mismatched. The furniture was worn. Totally not what we expected for the price of the Martian tent.
We enjoyed the desert area (although it is located closest to the main highway and close to other camps so there is some light pollution). The wifi was good. The meat at the dinner was tasty. The manager was very accommodating for excursions. We had fun during our 1 hour camel ride excursion and the guide was exceptional.
