Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LatviaThe clerk at the lobby has given us a misleading information for 2 days in the row that he can not send our luggage to the Airport. He told that we just need to appear at the lobby by 9 AM before the checkout. When we did that a new clerk told us that it is too late to send our luggage, that mistake costed us 150 EUR because we needed to take a taxi to the airport in oredr to carry all the luggage. Regarding the second clerk at the day of our checkout - he did his best to support us. But the one, who mislead us, made our trip stressful
Great location & room, everything regarding the hotel was great.

PhilippinesI suddenly smelled smoke even when my room’s window was closed. The room for a single person is okay but if there’s two people. It will be too cramped.

ItalyIt could have been cleaner, a lot of hair was lying around. And the staff wasn’t very friendly.
Location was good, near subway station. And the size of the room was ok, I guess. We had to store the luggage under the bed to have enough space.

ThailandEven if this is a no smoking hotel, my room had a very strong cigarette smoke smell for the first 2-3 nights (maybe from the previous guest) so I had a hard time breathing and sleeping. I was already extremely tired from the plane trip so I didn't ask to move room. But hotel should have cleaned the smoke from the start. I came back to this hotel after one week and the new room was good with no cigarette smell.
Excellent everything except my room had a very strong cigarette smoke smell for the first 2-3 nights (maybe from the previous guest, even if this is a no smoking hotel) so I had a hard time breathing and sleeping. I stayed here again after one week and everything was great. But for this first stay, the cigarette smell was bad.

It was a very well designed room - if you are going to be away from the hotel. Staff helped me locate some stores that had items I wanted. Close to subway line going to Narita airport. Inexpensive washer and dryer. Very good value for United States visitors.

CanadaWe were in a Standard Double Room, and the beds are entirely too small for two people. My husband is 6'3" and I'm 5'8" and we struggled with the bed. The mattress itself, in the room we had, was not very comfortable. It sloped into the middle unfortunately. It was only 2 nights - so we managed - but if it was longer, it would have been really hard. The pillows (and this is standard across all the hotels we've stayed at over the course of a month in Japan) are just really uncomfortable. I ended up with neck strain and a headache because they are rock hard and very very flat. The A/C in the room was too strong (even at the lowest setting) for the size of the room (less than 120 sq. ft). And you couldn't turn it off to get fresh air instead, because the windows don't open. If you turned off the AC the room would get VERY hot and humid, very fast. If you can swing it for your budget, for two people, I'd recommend getting the deluxe twin room. You get two twin beds and much more space in the room. You'll be much more comfortable even if you're not sleeping in the same bed.
The location of this hotel was superb. It was really easy to get to from Haneda Airport. One train - about 40 min (Keikyu Airport Line Rapid Limited Express for 'Kuramae Station', Exit A3). It's right across the street from Kuramae station - which is served by both the Oedo Line and the Asakusa Line. Not to be confused with the other APA hotel that's quite literally up the road from this one. Don't go to the wrong one! The staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. Even if you don't speak any Japanese, they have a handy little vocal translator device, that works perfectly! The hotel gives you the option to skip room cleaning if you want. They drop a bag off at your door with everything they would have replaced for you during your stay instead. Absolutely perfect idea - more hotels should do this. The rooms come with slippers (as is customary in Japan because you're meant to remove your shoes at the door), a Yukata (cotton kimono - also traditional in Ryokan, Onsen, and most hotels/guesthouses), and many many toiletries that you just don't get in a western hotel. Aside from the standard shampoo/conditioner/body wash, you also get a toothbrush set, razor, hairbrush, hair elastic band, shower caps, cotton swabs, and cotton balls. I'm sure I'm forgetting something - but trust me you get LOADS. Again, this is quite standard across the board in hotels in Japan. Lots of universal plug points in the room and usb charging points. There was also a small refrigerator - which was very handy for little pots of yogurt and some fruit/snacks/drinks. And let's not forget the glorious Japanese bidet toilets. Sweet sweet bidet toilets - where have you been all my life? There's a little convenience store in the lobby with quite a few options for food, snacks, drinks, etc. It's even got a microwave. There's also a very handy paid laundromat on site. Very clean and well kept.

PhilippinesJust a little bit small for our liking. Regardless, a good value for money.
It was clean, convenient, location was great and the staff were super helpful! Rooms were cleaned up everyday upon request and fresh towels and toiletries were dropped off too :) Requested for 2 rooms to be near each other and with a view. They gave us a corner room with a wonderful view of the Tokyo SkyTree 🥹🥰

United KingdomThe room was very small. Compared to other APA hotels I've stayed at, this was one of the smallest. The breakfast vouchers were to a nearby cafe that did not have the best options so we didn't end up using them. We ended up buying breakfast elsewhere.
The location was pretty good, very good links to central Tokyo. The amenities were great, as with all APA hotels.

MalaysiaI feel like the staff at the check-in counter were not very friendly. I didn't feel welcomed and I didn't feel comforatble when I was around the staff at the ground floor. I'm surprised to see that the cleaner staff are more friendly than the front-desk staff. I think you should switch positions for that.
I really like it how clean and comfortable it was. The smooth process of checking in. The room was very nice and organised. Everything we need as a customer was provided. The toilet was very clean and I loved how thoughtful the workers were when arranging the toilet because I found that the shower hose was placed facing in to the wall and not facing outside to us. As a foreigner, sometimes, we don't know how to use the water pipe because it looked quite complicated. When I first switched it on, I didn't know that the switch I clicked was meant for the shower hose. If the staff did not place the hose facing the wall, I would've gotten wet! So I found that very considerate and thoughtful of the workers in APA hotel. The bed was exceptionally comfortable I absolutely loved it! I didn't want to get out of bed. The curtains were sunlight proof so even when it was morning, I didn't feel disturbed by the sunlight.
