Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomConvenience store could be better stocked. No amenities.
Clean and tidy modern rooms. Tiny by western standards but big enough. Handy little convenience store on 1F and two 7/11s nearby, plus lots of shops, restaurants, bars, etc. Bargain during cherry blossom season

United Arab EmiratesGreat location, less than 10 mins walk to akhihabara Station and main anime shopping street. Hotel has mini convenience store at lobby. Its self check in with staffs help and has good WiFi signal. They have daily room cleaning service and will leave basic amenities supply on door if your out or have kept no cleaning service needed or sleeping tag. It has big TV and good lighting with air condition facility. Room has robes and slippers and big bed with comfortable mattress. You have fridge and water in room with dining table. In Room walking Space is limited just like any other Japanese hotel spacing but has wide space under bed to keep travel bags. over all great hotel with fantastic service and definitely go to hotel in all cities of Japan because its always located in prime area and easy to get transport area. Also I needed to get my stuff from kyoto to Apa hotel in Tokyo, and their Apa hotel in kyoto took care of all baggage transport for me at extra post cost with all care . Loved the service and hospitality. One of best hotels in Japan with professional staff who go over board to help all customers.

AustraliaOnly 1 elevator so you are waiting a while all the time. No coin laundry on site so you will need to trek away about 10 mins on foot to find one in Kanda.
Modern facilities including connections to TV via the bed head and usb charging outlets. International charging outlets as well. Storage for luggage under bed also really good self check out concierge store on site is a good touch given it is a bit far from one.

ThailandNew hotel (newer than another APA in the same area). Good location, around 10 minutes walk from Akihabara station with many restaurant and convenient stores near by. Staffs speak basic English so you may need to use Google Translate to communicate a complex sentence, but they are very helpful.

HondurasThey charge for every hour you overstay after check out. I kinda overslept, which is my bad, but I didn't expect to pay around 7~8 USD per hour.
The location was great, the place was really comfortable, clean, modern and private. It was like a mini apartment, the bathroom and all the amenities provided exceeded my expectations. If I had the opportunity, I would consider staying again.

MexicoThe room is very small. One side of the bed is touching the wall, so it’s a bit uncomfortable for the person sleeping on that side of the bed to get in and out if there’s someone else on the bed. Our luggage had to be stored under the bed or else we couldn’t move around the tiny room. The first day it’s weird, but you get used to it. What’s also tiny: the bathroom. The toilet was great but to the shower was closer to my husband’s shoulders than to his head. (He’s 1.80) Thankfully the shower had a hose so he managed. I had no problem showering, but it’s impossible to take a bath. You can try to sit down but there’s no room to stretch your legs. (I’m 1.67 cm)
I loved the location. Very near Akihabara Station that’s part of the Yamanote line, which got me everywhere. The hotel itself is not where the Akihabara life happens, but just a couple of blocks away. It’s near a 7 Eleven, and there’s even a laundromat nearby. The hotel staff was very friendly, and the property very clean. I appreciated so much that the water from the faucet was drinkable because I kept refilling my water bottles there. It’s really perfect if you just make peace with the fact that accommodations in Japan tend to be tiny.

SingaporeThe rooms are a little small, but that is expected from a hotel in Tokyo.
The location of the hotel was convenient, only about 5 minutes from Akihabara Yodobashi exit. The room was functional and allowed for luggage to be stowed under the bed to save space. Room was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
