Practical place to sleep while exploring Tokyo and surroundings

    1. The breakfast is simply BAD (served in cafe Excelsior). Choice from 4 "sandwiches" which look nice on the picture, but not that nice in reality. Every day. It was a torture for the kids, it was a torture for adults as well. One day only 3 types of "sandwiches" remained, shrinking the no-choice even more. I dont'recommend to apply for breakfast option - there are several cafe next to Ninghyoco station, so without "breakfast included", unlike us, at least you would have choice. 2. Very little rooms.

The hotel is 5 minutes away from Ninghyocho metro station with direct connections to main sites of Tokyo: Asakusa, Akihabara, Shibuya, Shinagawa, both airports, etc. Lots of restaurants around as well as a few grocery shops. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The staff is very helpful.

    Quite nice hotel, comfortable bed

It was quite expensive for what it was, but accommodation in Tokyo is expensive, so I understand that. I asked about breakfast when I booked in, and was told the price, which seemed reasonable. When I went down for breakfast the following morning, it turned out I couldn't have it because I hadn't booked it when I checked in. If I'd been told that, I would have booked it. I should have been told.

Quite nice room, although small; big, comfortable bed

We breakfast was more than average, last two days we didn't have it even paid for it. Rubbish bins in our room were not tempted every day . But they were very small and it created mess in our very small room.

    The location was great

    Comfortable stay near Ningyocho station

The hotel is located quite close to Ningyocho station. The hotel feels quite luxurious, especially compared to the cost of the room. The itself was larger than other hotel rooms I've visited in Tokyo, there was enough space to comfortably open suit cases. One thing to be aware of is that the toilet seat is not heated. This is something that I'd gotten used to when visiting Japan in winter, and was sorely missed when it's not available. It's not a major issue, but this was the only hotel during my stay where the toilet seat was not heated.

    - the room was extremely small but I guess that's normal in hotels in Japan - terrible pillows

    - good location near metro stations and close to Tokyo Station - clean, nice hotel in general, don't expect anything special

The bath is very small for an adult

Well-structured hotel, new appearance, it is a well-known mid-high-end chain, very clean, very organized, prepared staff and many amenities available. The location is good, two steps from the subway line and close to many convenience stores and good restaurants. Recommended for medium and long stays. Recommended.

Good stay in a central location. Air-conditioning/heating unfortunately is centralised
    • Leisure trip
    • Solo traveller
    • Single Room
    • Stayed 5 nights

The air-conditioning and heating in the room is centralised and is unable to be adjusted manually within the room. As such, there were times that the room felt stuffy and humid at night, which made the sleeping experience very uncomfortable.

The hotel is located within 5mins walking distance near Ningyōchō station, in a seemingly residential area. There is one single lift serving 10 floors of the hotel, with most of the amenities located at the lobby. The check-in/out process is automated, with English speaking staff present to assist. Convenience stores are located right at the doorstep. The bedding and linen were great, and the room was at the adequate size for a single traveller. Luggage could be easily stowed away beneath the bed, and a small desk was provided for users.

I understand that the hotel provides a cleaning service every three days or upon request, but not cleaning the floor in the room was disappointing.

It is convenient to be near Ningyocho station and within walking distance of eatery places. Alternative subway stations are also not far from the hotel.

Being a solo traveler, I would recommend this hotel for stays in Tokyo.
    • Leisure trip

The only thing I would mention is breakfast which is served at the nearby Excelsior Caffé. Compared to other hotels, including other APA hotels in Tokyo, breakfast was pretty much simple, still enough to start the day.

I enjoyed my stay at APA Hotel Ningyocho Ekihigashi. The hotel location is great, the personnel are polite, and all the amenities have been provided. Price/Quality ratio met my expectations. I marked comfort level as good due to the fact the room is a standard small one suitable for 1 or 2 travelers.

A little bit too much dust in the room. Police and firefighters station is nearby and sound might be disturbing.

Very convenient and excellent location, perhaps slightly overpriced and the matrass is very hard
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children
    • Double Room
    • Stayed 3 nights

The rooms were very small but convenient. The matrasses and pillows were very hard and gave me some discomfort. I would argue that based on location and accommodation standards the rooms are a bit overpriced.

The breakfast arrangement with Excelsior restaurant was good in the sense that the breakfast hours were from 8 until 11am which gave enough time in the morning to get organized and didn't have to rush. The assortment was limited with unfortunately 2 out of 6 offers being out of stock, meaning that the breakfast options were very limited and the queue was fairly long.
