How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The rooms are very small, our two large suitcases hardly fitted in the room.
The staff is very helpful and kind, the breakfast is lovely and with lovely staff. The rooms are very clean.

Had all the amenities and more you would expect to find in a very compact room, even had a bathtub, large screen TV, mini fridge etc. Bed was comfortable.

The size of the room, it was quite tight for two adults and an infant.
The location and their services. We got free gifts for my baby as well. They kept our luggage on the check out day for free, which was really helpful!

It’s not really a problem itself since it is APA Hotel’s intended design but, the rooms are quite narrow so big luggages are hard to open and organize. But as I already said, it isn’t that big of a deal.
The location of the property was excellent since it was exactly near Kanda station which also connected to various other prefectures through the Yamanote line. In the hotel itself everything you’d need was already provided and fresh accommodations were brought daily.

The space of the room was small. I couldn't open my suitcase all the way so it made packing and unpacking challenging.
The location was great, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

It is just in front of the JR line, making it noisy during the nights. The hotel didn't have washing machines.
The hotel is nice. The location is relatively close to Akihabara, but Kanda itself is not very active during the weekends.

Window unable to open and tend to be quite stuffy and warm even thought is winter (end Feb- beginning March). However manage to get a portable cooler from the staff after feedback to the staff. The wifi is very slow and it get disconnected sometimes.
Room is clean. Amenities are provided. Bonus point is that a very famous ramen is just right under the hotel. Hotel is near to Akihabara (1 train stop away/ 12 min walk away- to reach Akihabara Donki). Room are just enough for 2 pax.

There seems to be one time when my room get cleaned without notice which I wish i could get notified first for (There is a schedule on the TV on when the room is being cleaned, which is usually after the third day of staying, but somehow even on my first day it got cleaned.) The shower temperature control seems not to work properly, I was in another APA hotel branch and did not have this problem. It seems like the normal temperature (40°) is way hotter than usual. Also at times it suddenly changed to cold water.
The location was pretty nice, and the place was pretty clean and tidy!

Rooms too small for hubby and me. Had to put our luggages under d bed.
Next to Kanda station. Near 7 eleven, Family Mart n eateries. Very easy to walk around. Very clean rooms. The room was designed to be compact but has all your basic needs. Comfortable too.

Very, very small, even by Tokyo standards. No coin laundry. Can be sometimes noisy with street noise and trains.
Great location in kanda, which is one stop away from Tokyo station (and bullet trains) via multiple lines. 8 mins walk from Akihabara. Located on a back street with lots of local food.

Great staff. I asked for food recommendations and they printed maps for me. Great location near Kanda station and 5-8min walk to Awajicho station which is two stops from Tokyo station and a few stops from Shinjuku station. Hotel is near eateries and groceries too. Famous spicy ramen shop is just next to the hotel. Reasonable price considering the location and cleanliness. Room is small but comfortable enough.

- The room was super small (like usual rooms in business hotels in Japan) and we couldn't open the window to make air circulating (it was forbidden and there was a blocker to avoid us opening it). So, when I got sick, I couldn't get fresh air into the room and that mad eme feel even worse. - Checkout at 10 is too early giving the price you're paying for the room - The hotel decoration is outdated and a bit ugly/decadent, same as all the other APA hotels we've seen

No coin operated laundry machine at this APA location but 15 min walk away from one. Bath tub could be a bit small for someone larger.
Clean, polite staff and regularly looked after. Rooms although small are comfortable, with all ammenities you could ask for. Comfortable beds and pillows with clean sheets. Small desk with robes, daily restocked coffee and hairdryer. Bathroom restocked daily. Good value for money.
