Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe rooms were smaller than I expected and the large television screen with its repeated messaging was overpowering. There was no real view from the bedroom - so the window was frosted.
I really enjoyed the use of the Japanese style spa on the top floor. Convenient location with plenty of restaurants and noodle bars in the nearby mall. Access to the luggage service which delivered my heavy luggage from the hotel to the airport was efficient and very helpful. Very close to the metro entrance.

United KingdomRoom very small, no storage for cases and bed against the wall. Strict timings on check in.
Location is ok, there is a metro almost below the hotel. Hotel lobby has a set of scales for weighing cases which was quite handy.

NetherlandsPersonally I found the bed uncomfortable, the pillow was too hard for me, but other than that it was perfect.
The location is great, it's close to the underground station and you can get almost anywhere you need in 30 mins. Wellness spa was an absolute treat, we made use of it almost daily. Rooms were well equipped and always clean. Food was tasty and there were enough meals to choose from. Check in process was effortless and we even received a bottle of sake as a welcome gift. We received a fresh towels, razers, toothbrushes and coffee, tee daily.

AustraliaClaustrophobic room, huge waste of plastic, clear issues with lifts (too few for the number of guests), location is not the best but at least is half way for visiting both the east and west side of Tokyo.
Good value for money… but you get what you pay for (see negatives below). Great onsen.

GermanyEither to cold or to warm in the room, with and without AC ventilation especially during colder temperatures and rainy weather end of April/beginning of may. But it's personal preference. They communicated that they can only regulate warm/cold for the complete hotel.
Nice breakfast, vegetarian and vegan options. Sufficient room size for single room and two suitcases. Nice stay, perfect metro connection for exploring Tokyo Vending machines in the hotel

United Arab EmiratesThe room was the smallest I had in Japan... I couldn't open my luggage (medium sized) or I would have to jump it to go to toilet. The width is exactly the length of the bed. My solution was placing the luggage on top of the desk chair, since I could not move the chair anywhere as well. The room was clean though and the bed comfy. Not too many people at the reception speak English and check out is at 10am. I had the cleaner come and try cleaning my room at 8.30am...
There are quite a few metro stations nearby and the access is easy. There is one exit though that is close but it is downhill to reach the hotel. The neighborhood is calm and very quiet. Full of government buildings but not close to convenience stores or restaurants.

CanadaThe room was very small, we had nowhere to put our luggage but the bed was high enough to get one suitcase underneath. The restaurant was fully booked each evening so didn't get to try it but the hotel is definitely good value for money.
Great location, huge hotel with plenty of amenities. We loved the surrounding area and were very close to two train lines. Our room has everything you could need and the onsen is a great feature. Very clean, well-maintained hotel.

GermanyCan't say anything real bad. Maybe the the waiting time for the elevator was a bit long.
It was a pleasure staying this hotel in Akasaka, Tokyo. The staff was welcoming and professional, ensuring a smooth check-in process and attending to all my needs. The room was impeccably clean and well-maintained, which made for a very comfortable stay. The bed was particularly comfortable, providing a good night's sleep after a long day. The hotel's location is great. The metro station wit four lines, making it easy to access various places in the city. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quality stay in Tokyo.

United KingdomRooms are very small. Reminded me of staying in a travelling caravan. Although furnished to a high standard. The breakfast was ok, but the coffee was terrible and the croissants also not good. The japanese breakfast was better. This is a densely packed hotel, housing many guests, so when its busy it feels a bit crushed.
The onsen (no extra cost) was great! The rooms were cleaned regularly and very comfy. Staff were obliging.

GermanyThe ventilation in our room was poor, even with an open window or with activated AC it was quite stuffed and hot
The hotel is very conveniently located close to a metro station, and you can get to Tokyo station in just 15 minutes. Even thought the space in our room was limited, it was very efficiently designed. It was clean and nice. Extra bonus for guests: free usage of an onsen, which was super nice after a long day of walking!
