It locates in a small and peaceful town. The sunrise is very beautiful, also able to see the fisherman bring back the fish. The place is cozy and host is very friendly, highly recommend this place.

Clean, Comfortable, the traditional ryokan vibe is great. Close to station, the scenary around is wonderful. There is an awesome seaside opendoor onsen within walking distance. Most important, the owner is so nice and friendly!

Ken is a wonderful host, very friendly and accommodating. The guesthouse is in traditional Japanese style with nice tatamis and sliding doors, and located right next to the ocean. The town has a convenience store, a nice seafood restaurant, an onsen, and the train station is just a 3 minute walk away with trains every 30 minutes. We liked it very much.

Not much in the area. (Almost nothing to do) The convenience store closes at 8 so stock up on snacks and beers before hand!

This place is secluded! Not your typical night out in the city. I’d say the best perk is being so close to the outdoor onsen onset I the road. The host is also very nice! It’s a steep walk down from the train station so maybe contact him in advance and he can pick you up!

The owner offered to drive me to a nearby 温泉 and pick me up again for only a small prize, so I did not have to take the train.

The owners are amazing, they really care about you being comfortable. The area is super quiet, it’s a small and beautiful town. You can take a train (every 30minutes) to koghen or atagawa which has restaurants and a beach, it’s one stop from hokawa. I’d really recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet place to sleep.

The beds were to hard for my liking, because of only a thin futon on wooden underground. A thicker futon would be nice.

The house is beautiful and the host made much effort to make me feel comfortable. A very relaxing atmosphere.

There were very few shops and restaurants nearby which close early in the evening. So anyone visiting late in the evening is advised to carry food with them.

The host was very polite and helpful. The property was also clean and cozy. I loved the traditional Tatami room with ocean view.

The property is very clean and cozy. It’s also complete with facilities like hot shower and bath, fridge, hot water kettle, and so on. It is a guesthouse so I think the owner went above and beyond to make their customers comfortable. Also, the owner offers rides to restaurants and onsens nearby which makes stay even more convenient.

Nothing. Even if you might find something inconvenient to you, the owner's hospitality will turn them into a memorable experience.

The owner was super nice. Although we arrived very late at night, he made all possible effort to guide us through until we went to sleep. The building itself looked a couple of decades old, but every item I used was kept very neat and clean.

A little bit cold due to rainy weather but you can use an AC in the room.

Good location like only five mins from train station to the hotel. Really convenient to travel to izu kogen or izu shimoda if you got a two day pass or three day pass. Close to the ocean so you can hear the waves all days

The view from the room was amazing and the owners super kind. He can speak English, Japanese and Chinese which is super convenient for any travelers. We even got a ride to the next combini when it was raining and the closest one was already closed.

We felt so welcomed and cared for by Ken. Fresh local flowers in the room, a friendly face and comfortable room in a delightful seaside village. We were kindly dropped back to the train - a lovely experience and memory.

Because the hotel is in an old house, there were some concerns: the showers were fine, but there was not enough hot water to store hot water for the baths, and the facilities were showing their age, but overall, the hotel was kept clean, which was not a problem given the cost of the stay.

The support of the friendly staff, and the good location near the fishing port and hot springs, with bath and face towels, toothbrushes, and paper cups as amenities.
