Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Nothing at all
We stayed in the queen bed room. Many said that queen rooms are smaller than twin rooms. However our room had space to open one large luggage which I think was not too bad. Our room came had a small bathtub in the toilet. Additionally, there is an electric back massager in the room. And there is even public bath available.

Room provided everything I needed. Breakfast offered a variety of japanese and eastern food and was delicious. All staff members were so kind and bravely endured my poor japanese communication skills. Thank you!

This is our second time there and if I come again I would love to stay there again.
We enjoyed the buffet Japanese food. There was a great variety of dishes. The popsicle after the hot bath at the onsen was amazing.

Room for 3 people was very small. Breakfast menu was ok.

This is the third time I’ve stayed at the Vessel Ekimae location and for a mid level hotel it is very cost effective.

Did not have anything to complain about this place.
The location was close to the JR station. Staff was very hospitable. Room was very nice and comfy. I enjoyed my stay here.

The beds are a little hard. I fell ill during my stay and was laid up in bed for a couple of days. Was getting very uncomfortable. Beds are better than other places but yeah a tad on the very firm side. Only one pillow so we used a cushion as well as pillows were too flat. Would be nice to have a lounge area within the hotel. Another Vessel Inn hotel has this.
I liked that it’s close to the train and monorail stations. The breakfast here is good but not as good as other Vessel Inn hotels that’s I’ve stayed in. Room size was good but bathroom a little small. Public bath was great. I loved the location the most and it is a very clean and tidy hotel.

The bath area is on the small side
convenient location, clean, quiet. room is small but that is expected in this part of the world. Having a hot bath is a plus. Breakfast is excellent!

Breakfast was worth the price. Offered both Western and Japanese dishes. If you’re hesitant to try a traditional Japanese breakfast the one they offered is a nice introduction.

Nothing. It was all good.
Location was close to station and easy to find. It was also close to many eating establishments. The add on breakfast is worth the ¥1400 you pay. Lots of food choices and good seating.

The lobby was crowded and we were waiting to get our luggages that we stored in the hotel after we checked out. The receptionist just looked at me and said that I can use the machine to check out. She didn't even enquire me why I was queuing up in the first place.
Breakfast was satisfactory. There is a public bath at the third floor. Washing machines and dryers are available too.

The room was small (but that’s what most hotels are like in Tokyo), pillows were very flat and the bed a little hard. In saying that I would stay there again but only for a night or two.
The hotel was good and in a good location but not in an area tourist go. We stayed for one night and the room was really clean and the hotel located close to shops and the train station. We felt safe and everyone was very nice.

I booked for 2 rooms, one triple room for my family is good. But my room is nightmare, staff assign smoking room for me. They should ask me upon arrival. I didn't ask to change, I think I can be with it but I can't sleep well because of smell. There is also construction building nearby, there is the generator noise all the time.
The rooms are clean and well facilities. Location is just 5 minutes walk to Chiba Train Station. Convenience store, restaurant is close by with just walking distance.
