Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanIt was so bothersome to get to the onsen. You have to have your key then a separate QR paper to enter. Should have a smoking room. There was no coffee or English tea and no table to put our bags on. Onsen opened too late and closes too early.
Didn't have breakfast. Location was far from Rinko town then mentioned but the view was great. Staff were friendly.

IndiaEverything else is actually just average, probably due to the price you are paying for it. The double room with 2 beds (and an extra bed) is too small honestly and there was very limited space to keep luggage. The beds were too squishy as well for our liking.
We took the hotel for the close proximity to the station and KIX airport. Definitely the best cheap option in that department. Check-in process is literally handled by a couple of cute dinos (literally). Staff is also there, but they aren't actively present. One needs to call them using the button on the check in counter. It's a good option due to it's location and potentially the spa, but otherwise do not consider if there are more than 2 people traveling.

MalaysiaThe bed isn't that comfortable. Toilet is a bit small, even for average people, but worth the budget. No taxi stand nearby, so had to walk to the station (500m) to get to the taxi stand. The 4star rate for the hotel doesnt really represent the hotel overall.
The location of hotel is further compared to other hotels that are nearer to the train station. But there is a 24hrs food joint (joyfull) and a 24 hours supermarket (trial) nearby (250m). There is a self service laundry machine, vending machines and ice machine. You can get your basic amenities at the ground floor (razor, body towel, hair brush, toothbrush and nightwears) Just make sure to pre-check in to save the hassle of having to pay at the 'dinosaurs'!

United KingdomEverything is good; they even keep your luggage before check-in and after check-out.
It is always a pleasure to return to this hotel. The rooms are spacious, the restaurant serves delicious food, and it has a coffee shop and a hot spring. All are within reach of the airport. The train is a 5-minute walk away and super easy if you do not have big luggage. Can't recommend it enough.

United StatesNo airport shuttle. Taxi to airport cost more than 4000 yen even though it’s not far. The walk to the train station is far, especially with luggage. The walk to the “nearby” outlets is also far.
The 180 degree bay view onsen and included breakfast with the same amazing view.

SwitzerlandAs a hotel who wants to try out new things and has also a lot of foreign tourists, they should allow tattoos in the onsen. At least in the evening when only hotels guests are there.
The hotel is just one stop by train from the airport. There is a huge outlet store in walking distance to spend a few hours if you arrive early. I also liked the onset in the hotel.

United KingdomArrived from the airport very late at night It was too dark outside to easily navigate ourselves from the station. You must have your instructions and the map ready as there's no signs as soon as you leave the ststion and no one to ask. Checking in wasn't smooth at all. It took ages and the staff would come out to help every time I got stuck but disappeared every time. I think the nearest convenience stores were all around the station area so you probably want to shop before you set off to the hotel.
Nice sea view from the room. Not too far to walk from the station. Very clean room. Helpful staff.

Germany- The relaxation area closes with the onsen. So you can't sit there as long as you like. - I don't have Tattoos, but I think the way it's written that people with Tattoos are not allowed to enter the onsen is really shameful: Anti-social forces or related persons, those with Tattoos, or those who are heavily intoxicated are strictly prohibited from entering. It’s written like that in one sentence… the worst is that you’re getting this message after booking. Why so offending?. Writing into the important informations (before booking), that there is a possibility that people can’t enter the Onsen is here not clear enough formulated since there is absolutely NO possibility. -The dinos are cool, but there is no service to do normal things like call a cab. Could be a problem if your flight is very early or if you have to carry heavy luggage. - There were instructions for a robot in the room but the robot was not there.
+The view from the window of the room is phenomenal. +Clean and comfortable room +You can buy fresh orange juice for little money +Cool dinos +Area to relax and read manga. +It's nice to have direct access to the spa area including onsen. I loved the relaxing atmosphere at night and the view during the day. +I don't smoke, but it's good that there is a smoking area for those in need, so the environment stays clean (even though the place might be too windy, but at least there is one).

Hong Kongunfortunately for me as I have tattoos, I wasn't able to use the onsen because it's a public onsen attached to a hotel and not a hotel onsen. I wasn't aware of that until I received an email from the hotel a few days before our stay. I understand it's a cultural thing in Japan but next time, I will prioritise a tattoo friendly hotel with onsen
it's a nice hotel, I loved the robot dinosaurs at the reception. The room was clean and bright and location convenient, a short walk away from the station.
