Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesFree shuttle bus became full 20 min before departure. I had to drag 2 suitcases in 35c hot day to the train station. Room fridge was too small. Only able to store drink bottles. Room curtain was not full shade. Not so great location.

AustraliaWe arrived after a long day of travel and, after a lot of difficulty checking in (the robot straight away called staff to attend and the staff member had technical issues with the electronic check-in process), we finally got to our room only to discover there were just two beds in the room despite a reservation and payment for three people. The male staff member was not helpful - blamed Booking.com for the error and said I had to contact them about it or find somewhere else to stay. It was 11pm and we had travelled all day and were exhausted. There was no time to look for alternative accommodation. In the end, he suggested I pay for another room. This was not fair but I had no other option. So I paid for two rooms instead of one and could not be with my family for the night (particularly bad during the earthquake at 1:47am). The next morning (the morning of our departure) despite clearing it with staff the night before, the 5:45am shuttle bus left without us, but there was no one there nor signage to inform us. We waited from 5:35am and finally at 6:10am I phoned the staff - the same make staff member from the night before answered. He just kept repeating "next shuttle bus 6:45". I explained we were still waiting for the 5:45am shuttle bus and it had not arrived. He said it "left at 5:30. Next shuttle bus at 6:45". If we waited for that we would possibly have missed our flight. Therefore we had to get a taxi to the airport - more expense due to the incompetency of Henn Ha Hotel.

RussiaThe room was smaller than in description. It was said the room will be 12 sqm, but it was close to 8. For two people it was horrible and just a robbery Far from subway if you are with a heavy lagge, but as it said, they have a shuttle bus
Seems colosr to airport Have shuttle from and to airport, but we haven't got the chance to use it, due to uncertainty in our plans Funny registration desk design, but that's all Aircon was good, its a must for Japan, but now I'm in the better hotel and it doesn't have modern aircon, power of this thing is close to zero Nice system of storage keeping in the lobby for free, after our before check out/check in

OmanWe were quite surprised that a lot of hotels in Tokyo check out guests at 10:00 am. As we had a 8:00 am flight the next day, we decided to stay closer to the airport. Henna hotel was having a 50% off and offered a free shuttle to haneda terminal 3 which started at 4:45 am in the morning. This was perfect way to catch an early Morning flight. The room was clean and the check in/out process was smooth and uncomplicated. FYI - the reception was manned by robotic dinasaurs 😂. Overall a good place to stop to catch an early morning flight.

United StatesThe pillows are hard like rock. The fridge is so tiny just enough space to put drinks. The LG styler clothes dryer is unnecessary. I d rather have a bigger fridge to put some food in for breakfast and dinner. Even though they clean the room every day but the room is full of dust after vacuuming. I advise you to knock and ask permission before enter the room.
The hotel is near Otorii station so if you cannot catch their mini yellow bus service, you can just hop on the train and ride straight to Otorii station. They have room cleaning service daily. They have pick up service back to hotel.
