Kitchen, laundry, toilet and bathroom all in the main building. So we have to walk over in a cold weather to go over especially if you want go to toilet in midnight, which is a little bit inconvenient but that’s not a big issue.

We stayed in bangalow which has a double deck bed. Although the room is small but the vibes is superb! Can enjoy beautiful snow scene inside or outside of the bangalow. Hotel also offer pick up service from station. They also running a restaurant in the main building. The food was good and affordable.

I stayed at the bungalow and it was so much comfy and relaxing. The bed and couch in the bangalow were so comfortable. There were three shower rooms, I used it around 10 pm but there was no one. Also they serve food which is so good and convenient since there was no restaurants nearby. The staff was so nice and friendly. The price is absolutely affordable. I will definitely stay here again!

Very helpful staff and hospitable. They went all the length to assist us and cater for our needs. Especially when we arrived late in the night. The cottage was cosy and clean with all the amenities needed, including a fireplace! This is the best place to stay in Shari or Rausu!

All rooms on 2nd floor. There is no lift, quite inconvenient as my knee was hurt.

Garden view room with private shower/toilet was clean and spacious. Had dinner in the restaurant, fried chicken was juicy and tasty. must say it's the best fried chicken I had in recent years. Couldn't find the aircon control inside room and staff was helpful to sort out the problem (the control is outside in the corridor!).

Each dormitory room has a bed, a desk and a chair, and is separated by a door. That was so private and comfortable. And the breakfast was tasty.

We prefer en suite accommodations and having to walk along the muddy paths in the rain to use the bathroom is not optimal. However, we totally understood that this was part of the glamping experience.

This was a fun stay. We felt like we were in a treehouse. The cozy cabin was well designed and comfortable. The onsite restaurant was excellent.

The location is a bit far from the city centre. But the free shuttle services really makes this a non-issue. Hotel Both should make this free shuttle service available on its website and booking.com

Super clean. Staff were very friendly, cheerful and helpful. The capsule room was very comfortable. Generous provision of towels and branded toiletries. Free shuttle service from Shari Bus Terminal and Shari JR Train Station to Hotel Both is very much appreciated.

May be the foul smell outside; probably from the stagnant pond. Dusty ground leading to the hotel.

Run by a group of young people, full of good vibes. The hotel restaurant serves good food for reasonable prices. Everyone was ready to help. For a small hotel, it exceeded our expectations. Will definitely come back.

There is an abandoned pond in front of the entrance, it is bad because it attracts mosquitoes. And because you sleep in capsule rooms it makes you want to open the window especially when it's hot, but once a mosquito enters your box... (I got bitten) :'(

Single beds in dormitory : The facility was really clean, nice design, and cool wooden furniture. The bed was big and the sheets were soft, it's like having a cozy nest. I liked that we left our shoes at the entrance, it keeps the floor clean.

Great spot to stay if wanting to visit the Shiretoko national park. Wasn’t sure when looking through the properties photos but was pleasantly surprised. Main building was very clean and well furnished with immaculate shared facilities. We had the dormitory style room which was comfortable but small. Only thing is not super noise proof, however there are no noise rules from 11pm, ear plugs weren’t an issue tho. Breakfast was also great, comes in either western or Japanese style. Highly recommend anyone to stay!

Maybe sometimes other guests (especially children) were noisier than I would have liked, but that is something punctual and difficult to control.

Everyone working in the hotel was very kind and helpful. The hotel and the restaurant are beautiful and food is good. Every room (I tried four of them!) Was neat clean, and well equipped. If I ever come to Shari, it will be to this same hotel, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone going to that area.

If you are staying in a room in the main building(private room, dorm style room) it may be noisy at night or early morning because the shared microwave, basin, fridge etc are just outside your room/dorm..s

A good cafe/restaurant in the building, convenient for breakfast and dinner with longer opening hours till 9pm. Family private room has attached balcony.

The price-quality ratio is simply amazing. You could not wish for more for this price. The restaurant onsite is of top quality. The shared facilities are very clean and comfortable. Location very close to Shiretoko, also very convenient. I wish we stayed longer
