Bed and pillows aren’t the comfiest, and only provided with one small blanket that barely covered myself and found it really difficult to get a good night sleep. You can hear everything that happens outside the room, as the door is very thin and the edges are not sealed which lets light and noise in the room. You can feel them bumps when people come up the stairs at all hours of the night as well as the voices. I used ear plugs to drown it out.

Nice location, quiet but close to everything essential. Over all it is clean, and good kitchen area.

We didn’t like that we couldn’t understand how to operate the microwave oven, stove top, air cooker, air conditioner. There were all foreigners staying there from Germany, Holland, Indonesia, Mexico and us from Australia. All of us struggled on how to use these appliances. So in the end we used our Google translate app, even though the translation was a bit hit and miss for all the switches. I would think it be great if the owner got someone or an app on their computer to translate the operating instructions into English.

Great location. Literally a two minute walk to Aoshima station and close by walking to Bon Delice a speciality food store, the famous Aoshima surfing beach. Very close walk to groovy bars and eating places.

The bin was a bit small a bigger one would be appreciated. There was also a lack of Powerpoints within the room itself as the ones there were in inconvenient places.

Easy to access from Aoshima station, Instructions for check in and our very clear, futon were very comfortable! showers and toilet even though shared very clean and felt private even though it was shared.

Of course you are sharing showers and toilets, but all were clean. the downside is all sound in the upstairs corridor (where toilet, sinks are) travels. And it echoes. So every little noise can be heard in the rooms. Fortunately all guests on the whole tried to be quiet, but something to think about if you’re a light sleeper. I slept with my earplugs in. Aside from this, nothing to report.

Cool, clean and fresh guest house. nice big rooms and the shared kitchen/living area is great. The location is fantastic for Aoshima and there is a supermarket and convenience store nearby. The Onsen around the corner was great too. only 3 min walk and you’re at the sea. Check in was easy, as was check out.

might be a good idea to have signs at the 2 floor asking guests not to use hair drier after 9pm(for example). it was quite loud and woke me up.

Where to start? - free parking available, the introduction said. It wasn’t. You have to use nearby parking lots, and they aren’t free. - the room has two electrical outlets, both hidden in the closet and one plugged in for a rumba. They provide a lamp but it just stands there unplugged. Useless. - what desk? There is no desk. There is a very difficult to use small table next to the unplugged lamp. - anything a rumba can’t reach is unclean. Look at the floor of the shared shower room. Or at the ceiling to the fan. Look in every corner where dust is just piled up. It’s not difficult to clean that though, but you can’t let the rumba do all the work. - wifi is available, but pretty much limited to the common room, so not in the rooms. - the doors and floors are wafer thin; pretty much everything that happens in the hallway an in the common room can be heard. - you have to make you own bed and also clean it up afterwards, again something a rumba can’t do. I wonder if the mattresses are cleaned out as they ask you to return it in the closet before you check out. - the hairdryer collected a huge amount of dust. Should I mention the rumba again? - there is only one toilet per gender for 8 rooms. - I contacted the property in advance but never received feedback. - automated check in is annoying. The couple before me received the check in code but it arrived in their junk mail. The property doesn’t tell you they will send you a code, so they didn’t really know what to do. It’s just a shared home, I wish they would advertise it as such and not oversell this poor property. Way too much money for what you get.

Good location and the slippers were a good size. If you’re a surfer, the outdoor shower is a nice touch. Fridge is big. But that doesn’t make up for the bad things about this place.

There is no parking and the free city parking closes after a certain time, if you arrive late you’re left with no place to park. You hear everything going on in the building, you can hear the guests coming and going down the hallway. If you’re sensitive to sound, maybe be aware.

Self check in was very easy! Didn’t need to talk to anyone! Very clean!
