The windows of the dorm were blocked by the beds - luckily I got one of the beds near the window after the second night, so I had a view from my bed. Food/restaurant selection is quite limited (as can be expected in a small village) - better to bring food with you, especially when arriving late in the evening

very friendly staff, we were few guests and spent a nice evening all together. I got recommendations for places to visit. The village is very quiet and beautiful, there's a lookout point o a hill after a bit of a hike to one side of the village, and a very old hidden temple at the other end after some walking. It's a very quiet area altogether, the train comes about 4 times a day and there's not much distraction, only the endless beautiful coast and hills. I liked it so much that I extended my stay for 3 nights and spend all the days walking around and taking the train along the coast.

Nice people. Clean rooms and showers. Comfy bed. Attached to a restaurant so dinner was well made.

shared facilities, very small, beds in a weird position.The picture makes it look like it is a bigger room but it is actually showing 2 rooms. Parking is not at the foot of the hotel.

It was an awesome location close to a popular tourist location and the view was just awesome. Best experience for my first time traveling solo.

Hostel part of family living quarters behind an old restaurant on top of a grocery store. Could have been a great stop if facilities were greatly improved. The rate was expensive for this hostel but guess being the only place…can charge the price.

Incredible place with beautiful sunset and such a cool design of the whole interior. So artistically decorated and traditional structured building. Also has a wonderful playful kitten that’s so cute. I highly recommend this place

Cold parts of breakfast were left in the fridge. The rice was ready in the cooker. I had to re-warm the soup myself. Very good!

The fact that we planned so little time in this beautiful place.

It was very comfortable and the stuff was just amazing. Helpful with every step. For example when we went to restaurant i lose my phone and even before i realizes that the problem was already solved. Also his openness and interactions were just so welcoming. Truly uplighting experience that i fully recommend to anyone.

Everything about this accommodation was amazing. I would highly recommend if you are visting matsuyama and want to get away from the city for a night. I stayed here because of Aoshima (cat island). Unfortunately I could not go to aoshima because the ferry being repaired but I still think the journey was worth it for the views of the sea (especially sunset) and this amazing hostel. The facilities are good, though there's only one toilet and basin and two showers but not bad because there's only 6 beds in the bunk bed room so I found it fine. The hosts were so nice and even offered me some local food to try! Also it has a kotan which was really nice to try. Would highly recommend!!!

I felt very much at home ❤️ It was a very pleasant stay and the staff is very kind and helpful and fun to be with. We had a BBQ on the rooftop and the view with the sunset was amazing. Will come again!

honestly, everything exceeded my expectations and I loved everything about the place! Especially for the price, the facilities were so good. My bed was also really comfortable!

The owners were really nice and they spoke great English! They also invited me to their town festival and I had a lot of fun there as well!

Incredible. Nice quiet location, amazing rooftop with views of the sunset over the Inland Sea, bed was comfy and the room nice and cool thanks to air con. Staff were like long lost mates and spoke perfect English, making the whole stay feel like home. Wish I had stayed longer!
