Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThere isn't really a lounge to relax in for a cup of coffee but on the other hand, there's so many places around this hotel that it makes this not really a downside.
Hotel Code is about 5 mins walk from the famous vibrant nightlife area of Osaka known as Dotonbori. So when coming back from the nightlife you won't be needing a cab back to your hotel. There's literally no shortage of retaurants & bars around the hotel, and there's 2 different subway station within a 5 minute walk as well, making this well connected. The wifi is incredibly fast, the rooms aren't the biggest but well laid out so you can place your luggage at the end of the bed, which incidentally is quite comfortable. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Reception desk is 24/7, so you can even opt to leave your room key with the staff when you leave, if you're a bit clumsy like me. This makes sure you won't lose it. The room comes with several brochures to help you get around Osaka as well.

United StatesThe room is so tiny, way more than we thought it would be. And the bed was also smaller than a full which we didn't expect so I wouldn't book this room type unless you are by yourself or two smaller people! There is no where to put your suitcases either so we had to keep opening and closing them which is a little annoying.
For the price and location it was a good hotel option, and the staff was very welcoming!

MalaysiaWe would have liked laundry machines as the closest one is about 500 metres away (more or less). The rooms are slightly small but it is only to be expected for big city hotel rooms. The pillows are slightly low and if you are not asian size, I recommend choosing a bigger bed or twin beds and a bigger room. It would have been nice if there was a small cafe in the hotel [but then again there are many eateries closeby].
I did e mail the hotel prior to my visit and the hotel was helpful in my queries on the best way to get to the hotel. I took the airport limobus to Namba (OCAT) and then the metro to Shinsaibashi. Exit as informed was No. 6 and it was perfect coz there is a lift and also escalators as we did have medium size bags. The hotel is conveniently located about 50 meters or so to Daimaru and Parco and then Shinsaibashi metro station and there are many eateries around (ask the hotel receptionist for their recommendations and they have a list) and convenience shops.

Australia2 out of 5 nights were disrupted by others, not hotel fault but rooms not entirely soundproofed. Australian bar below is open until 2am and one night there were a group that were having a great night very loudly. Second one the people in room next door insisted on having loud conversations until early hours of the morning
Location was near enough to public transport, plenty of food and the Shinsaibashi walking shopping street. Staff attentive and helpful, kept our luggage until we needed to head to airport. Room small but that's japan, wouldn't want large suitcases in there, no room under bed for storage either Close walk to Dotonbori

Never running out of food options. Friendly and professional reception, very helpful and understanding. Free luggage storage on check in and check out days. Room was decent sized, toilet was clean and huge for Japanese standards. Nice theme going on throughout the hotel. Free amenities provided.

AustraliaThe bathroom of our room had a sewerage smell the entire time we stayed there. It was manageable. Opening a window and having the fan on but wasn’t the greatest thing. Other than that the stay was perfect.
We liked the location of it being located in the heart of all the tourist spots in Osaka. Public transport was very easy to get to from the hotels location mains it easy for us being in an unknown environment.

I think check out 11.00 or 12.00 is much more suitable. Moreover, the automatic flushing toilet was broken every night. It split water out into my child'eyes right away when entering the room.

PortugalThe room was bigger than the usual, but still on the small side. We asked for assistance booking tables at local restaurants and they didn't help, the first time it ever happened to us in decades. Before check-in and after check-out our luggage was stored in the hall which we didn't find to be very safe, it should be improved.
Location was great for us, easy access to the metro, easy and quick walk with our luggage. Access to the metro lift on to the platforms is near the hotel. The room was bigger than usual, but on the smaller side. Communication was good and they assisted us storing our luggage before check-in time.
