How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Like most Japanese hotels the room is a little small, but comfortable

The room was really tiny and somewhat loud from the streets. Nothing major tho.
Very close to dotonbori and the shopping streets. It was nice that there was free coffee at the lobby. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The room is very small , I could barely move around and open my carry-on bag. Bed mattress and pillows are very hard . I asked for a softer pillow and slept on top of the duvet cover for better softness. Rude front desk . One of the front desk receptionists was very rude , saying that I had not left a bag with them when I had left. And only looked for my bag (which was there) when I got annoyed, had to raise my voice and stop asking her to say that I was lying. Such gsshlighting-like behavior is unacceptable.
Good location - easy to get from the train station and move around. Clean

There was some minor stains from previous user on the toilet cover.
Excellent location, staff were helpful and flexible, they quickly accommodated my incorrect booking with zero hassle.

There was an issue with the hotel wifi one evening. There simply was no connectivity. It didn’t affect us more than 5 minutes since we just turned on our pocket wifi and forgot about it. However for tourists coming from abroad to Japan, hotel wifi can be extremely important. I doubt they have issues with this consistently, but the problem seemed to last at least several hours after I checked again later in the evening.
Incredibly courteous and kind staff, great rooms (found them more spacious than other hotels with similar price points), and impossible-to-beat location in Osaka.

the staff wasn’t nice and friendly as in other hotels we stayed in Japan. the room was small but manageable

Friendly staff (greeted me everytime they saw me, helped me with navigation), excellent location right at the heart of shinsaibashi (2 mins walk to shinsaibashi station), room was very clean & spacious! the huge & deep bathtub was a big plus!

Nothing and I wish I stayed longer.
Great location and single person room was well designed and offered comfort and cleanliness. The front desk staff were super helpful with organizing the luggage transfer.

The room was tiny for one person let alone two people. As an example we had two large cases and there was nowhere to store them in the room other than blocking the entrance door. There was nowhere to open a case other than putting it on the bed and because the room was so small, the other person had to go into the bathroom to make space. All other hotels on our trip provided fresh towels and water each day to the door, but in this hotel you had to go to reception to change your towels.
For single travellers and those booking a twin room then this hotel may have been rated good. We booked a double room and it was totally unsuitable for two people.

I didn’t like the thin walls but that’s most hotels
Centrally located to everything. Just walked everywhere with ease. It’s close to train station - within walking distance - which made day trips easily achievable.

The facility is inadequate, there is no usb around the bed area. It’s nice that they provide chargers at reception. There is some drainage problem regarding the bath tube, the water drains too slow

The pillows were kind of uncomfortable and lumpy. I felt that there could have been more closet space.
I liked the fact that the property was in a good location. The staff were super helpful and polite even when I was a little more demanding in needing a lot of help with my trip documents, bags and everything. Beautiful cube light next to the bed where you could adjust the brightness.
