This place is wonderful. Only this lovely and confortable guesthouse and the beach. Best place to relax and enjoy a day-off on the pilgrimage path. The owners are also super nice and very helpful.

Clean, spacious, large kitchen and common room. 3 of us shared a Tatami floored bedroom with a gorgeous sea view. Powerful showers and laundry facilities. Location is excellent for the beach, however there were no nearby shops as far as we could see. The host was super friendly and in the morning we hired bicycles and casually cycled to our next destination, where he delivered our heavy backpacks to later in the day. All in all a very good experience and thus recommended.

This is not really a big problem. I'm 187cm and I like to cover myself under the sheet/blanket completely in cold weather. The Futon was just slightly small for me. (especially in the cold weather when you want to cover your face. Turning the a/c on simply dries the air and makes it uncomfortable so didn't do that.)

The owner was very polite, friendly and helpful. The entire facility was quite clean.

My only minor gripe was that I found the futon thin, although I think there were spares in the cupboard so I could have doubled up. Otherwise, I couldn't have asked for more given the price.

Very friendly owner who greeted me when I arrived. Amazing location right on the beach. Cosy vibe in the lodge, easy to mingle with other travellers if you want to and a spacious tatami room with table and two chairs. Incredibly good value, would love to come back some time.

This lodge was very special to me. The property and every room was large and spacious. It was spotlessly clean and had a beautiful comfy and homey vibe to it. The owner was so sweet too. It’s right on the water. Couldn’t recommend enough 💖

I was only supposed to stay there for a night during my Shikoku Henro, but I booked an extra night because I loved this place so much. Firstly I arrived almost 2 hours before check in time and it was raining, but when the owner saw me waiting outside she called me in, welcomed me warmly and let me wait in the living room area while the room was getting ready. Her and her husband were so kind and friendly I could feel their warmth throughout my stay ! Second, the house has everything you could potentially need and the bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable ! My bedroom was facing the sea so the view out the window was quite scenic. During my stay I got a little sick because of the weather changes and the owner was kind enough to offer to get me medicine at the neighbouring town… beautiful people taking care of a beautiful house ! I felt like I was at home. I didn’t want to leave and I can’t wait to come back :)

Amazing views and proximity to the sea- the sea was perfect for swimming for the whole family, safe and clean. The lodge was exceptionally clean and well organised with everything you could possibly need available, making it a very relaxing family weekend away. We loved it and will definitely be back to make more memories.

Location is inconvenient if you don’t have a car. You can’t surf at this beach

Affiliated with a surf shop in Shishikui, so you can rent a board and leave it there. You can park anywhere on premises. Room was very spacious for just two of us, could easily sleep 4. Ocean view was great. Shower was clean and has laundry services and a nice big clean kitchen

The location was incredible, being just a minutes walk from the beach, as well as the most breathtaking stars I have ever seen. The room was spacious with a view onto the beach, the facilities were incredible and the hosts were amazing and so welcoming.

Absolutely amazing stay ! The view from the room was beautiful and the place super peaceful (off season). The staff was really super kind and helpful (They let me parked my bicycle inside the house)
