Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesI think the property and staff were amazing during my stay. I did not realize that I could not use the public onsen because I had tattoos. Since my stay was so short, I did not mind not being able to use them or speaking to the staff about accommodating that; however, I should have asked so I could keep the information for future visits! I still would love to stay at this property again and see if I could use the onsen to relax depending on the situation but lovely experience nonetheless.
Upon arrival, I was greeted at the door by the staff who kindly brought my luggage in to the lobby. The check-in process was surprisingly easy and the staff provided a detailed explanation of all the facilities. Once I was checked in, one of the staff guided me to the room while giving me a tour of the facilities. Although the layout of the property could be confusing, maps were pointed out to me in case I needed it. Once I was led to my room, the staff gave me a quick tour of my room. I loved the traditional style of the property in additional to the view my room provided. It was an amazing place to relax and just take things slow. I wish my stay was longer and would love to visit again in the future! A plus for me was that the room had a kotatsu which would be especially amazing on cold days! I plan to make sure of the facilities even more if I do stay at this property again.

This ryokan is an unexpected oasis in a busy area near ish airport, feels so far away from the 4 lane road next to it. We loved our traditional, very quiet, huge room. Overlooked an area with trees. The garden is lovely. The hospitality is excellent, the staff are very accommodating, we wish we stayed more than 1 night.

Hong KongAll staff provided excellent service. One of the front desk staff is a Chinese, who can speak both Chinese and Japanese. He was very helpful. He offered us his mobile contact to ensure we could safely get a taxi back to the hotel from the outlet nearby. Exceed our expectations. Thank you so much.

CanadaIt was a little hard to find at night. There was a little creature running around in the vents when I was trying to sleep. I hope it wasn't a rat. I am probably a prude, but I didn't care for the naked statues in lounge and (frontal) naked lady pictures in the bath.
I enjoyed my stay here. This is a good Ryokan. The room was very big and nice (but as a solo traveler I had to pay for a two-person room rate, so a little expensive). The futons were among, if not the most comfortable I slept on during my trip to Japan. The food was excellent, I enjoyed my meals, but I could have eaten a bit more food, some portions seemed small. The hot springs bath was very nice with a unique smooth loose "river rock" on the bottom of the bath. The Japanese garden is excellent, please take a stroll. The most amazing thing about this ryokan it that although it is next to a couple of extremely busy roads/ major highway and surrounded by tall city buildings it is still quiet and feels secluded and has a peaceful old Japan feeling. I would recommend this ryokan.

United StatesI knew it was would be far from the city of Hakata but I didn’t realize how far the station was from our hotel which was unfortunate. I also didn’t realize if you had tattoos you could not go in the onsen, so I was unable to enjoy that to my dismay.
I loved the room. It was so spacious. The shower/bath wasn’t the best, the pressure was weird and sprayed everywhere in the room at times. But the breakfast included was delicious and the staff were very friendly.

United StatesWe appreciated the buildings history and authentic Japanese decor. One small comment is that the carpet in the hallway to the Onsen appeared to be very aged.

ArgentinaEverything was wonderful, the only thing I can think of is that because the rooms are traditional and a bit old it may seem like it is not that clean. O and also they charged me a really small amount for taxes which I thought was included in the price but it seems not.
It was amazing! I loved the room, it was huge and the bathtub was amazing. The views were beautiful and so was the japanese garden. And the staff was very kind and amazing!
