Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. Restaurant where breakfast is served is tiny so you often have to wait. Bizarrely it’s next to a huge empty space on the 15th floor.
Great location, modern hotel with small but perfectly formed rooms.

The enormous reception area was a contrast to the rather tiny rooms. One person in the double bed has to contend with a wall so can only get into bed by climbing up from the end. The USB ports are all on the other side, too - if the person on the wall side wants to charge their phone whilst in bed, it requires cables to be run across their partner.
A new hotel, it is well appointed and modern looking. Excellent location.

The parking lot is little far. (5 minutes to walk) There are not many breakfast menus. The bed is small. (short length)

Like most Japanese hotel, it's rather small, though, it's better than many other hotel groups in Japan.
The location is excellent if you travel by plane as the bus shuttle is just opposite to the hotel. It 's located at Tenmonkan with great variety choice of restaurants. We like the outdoor sports wear Montbell very much and its store is just 6 mins walk from the hotel.

A lot! If you have a car it’s a nightmare. No where to pull in and load/unload, while the car park used by the hotel is several hundred metres away. Air conditioning. Failed on the first night and was reset the next day by staff. There is no in-room control over temperature or airflow. Space: our double room (king bed) had no spare space as a large electric massage chair was placed between the bed and the window. Refrigerator: why was this turned off for our scheduled arrival? We had medications to keep cool. There are too many negatives for to me recommend this hotel or stay there again!
The only two good points I thought were the location - if you did not have a car, and the walk-in shower. Breakfast was good.

The washing machine is on the 8th floor and very far from the elevator. You have to walk through every room to do laundry in the last room. It's inconvenient.
There is a lot of food to choose from and it's delicious. Getting to the hotel You can choose to take the bus or train, very convenient.

When we booked this hotel a few weeks ago, the booking system had only smoking rooms. Since this is the only 4 stars hotel in Kagoshima in booking.com, we had no choice but chose this hotel and requested a non smoking room, explaining to the hotel that I have asthma. Previous experience with a smooking room in Tokyo a few years ago caused my asthma to act up.They replied that they canot guarantee anything. When we arrived, I requested again to the receptionist at the front desk. With no knowledge of English, she asked the manager who is a hugh man to come out. I said 99% of the hotel in the world have all non smoking rooms already. In his exact wordings he said "Are you sure 99%? This is the rule of our hotel, if you don't like, you can leave." I said I paid already. He said " no you have not pay yet, you can leave." I have visited Japan many many times and I was not expecting such an attitude in Japanese hospitality service. My tears almost fell. It was raining outside and this was our 8th day in Japan. I was tired and did not want to argue with him. I said to talk to the manager. He said I am the manager in an extremely rude manner twice. At hind sight, this is a case of expectations gap. To manage it, he could have said, if someone does not show up, there is an available non smoking room, we can give you the priority. If he only said he would try, the confrontation would have reduced. He was very militant and that is something I have never come across in a Japanese hotel. When I looked back at the guests' reviews, all reviews said the hotel is clean, good location but no one ever mentioned they have good service.

Insufficient sound proofing!! For such a new hotel it is beyond me how the doors and rooms are so poorly soundproofed. If someone walks on the corridor it's like they are passing though your room at night/in the morning. The TV from next door can also be heard, and if people have a conversation outside on the corridor or are rummaging around a plastic bag it's like they are standing next to you. Got woken up both nights and mornings (not a light sleeper usually).
really new hotel, great observation deck for perfect views of Sakurajima and generally high quality feel (bathroom etc.) Good location with loads of restaurants and shopping
