The bar and lounge were closed unfortunately. A spot to prepare food would’ve been nice since they didn’t have any food available and no breakfast options were open in the morning before I left.

My only warning to guests would be to wear earplugs if you are a light sleeper or want to sleep in past 8am. Since it is near a main road, you might hear some noise from traffic lights, cars and people in the morning.

We were given free parking that was provided behind the accommodation. The area was clean and showers were fantastic. Bed was very comfortable and firm. Was very handy to have a washing machine and dryer to use (only a few hundred yen to be paid to the staff). The location is great. Right next to the train station and the information centre where you can hire e-bikes for the day!

This is a hostel with amazing value and hospitality. The facilities are new, clean and super comfortable - easily one of the best dormitories I've ever stayed in. The bar is a very nice plus: beautifully decorated, great music and good prices. Yoichi the owner is very nice and knows his trade. Plus, impossible to get a better location if you're planning to do the Kumano Kodo. Totally recommended!

The location was just next to the railway station. It is quite convenient for catching up the Kumasi Kudu bus at early morning. And the price is cheap comparing to the facilities.

Only down sides were downstairs area smelt strongly like smoke and the walls are very thin and close to the road so I could hear the sound of the road crossing all night and bar music. Earplugs did the job!

As with most hostels, the walls are rather thin, so bring ear plugs to get the best sleep. I did not have any and it still work for me…

Great hostel, I had a private room that was up to my expectations. The bar is fantastic, so plan some time to spend there, have a drink, enjoy jazz music and the atmosphere.
