Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. Perfect location and exceptional value for money. Clean and tidy, lovely breakfast (paid extra for this but good value) and would highly recommend hotel.

We asked the concierge to make a restaurant reservation for us but our request was declined. The hotel’s policy is not to do this, due to potential $$ liability falling back on the hotel if we failed to honour the reservation. This was frustrating as we had no other way to make our own bookings. Further, there was no comfortable lounge-type area in the reception where one might relax. With small rooms, sometimes one prefers to sit in a comfortable and safe space elsewhere in the hotel.
We asked for and received a room high up in the building, away from the busy street side. The hotel is well-located - not too far from the Koruku-en Garden which we visited three times.

The staff was very helpful during our stay. The location was perfect for us. Our room was quite smaller than the other hotels we have stayed at, but it was still very nice and clean.

no public bath. The breakfast was good, but some things (fruit) ran out often. They always brought more, but this could have been better by simply having a bigger bowl.
The bed was comfortable. The washer/dryer was good to have, though it didn't dry the clothes all the way, even after running half the clothes through for an extra dry cycle. The bath was nice, which is std for hotels in Japan. The location was GREAT; so convenient for most of the attractions in Kanazawa.

Beautiful hotel, felt very modern. Friendly staff. Very close to the Kenrokuen garden, which is just gorgeous, and only a 20 minute walk or so to the old geisha district and samurai district. Would come back to this hotel.

The coffee machine wasn't working.
Location was excellent. Near the gardens and a bus near by. Rooms were small but comfortable. We didn't have the breakfast as there were local cafes. Staff were very helpful.

- the sound isolation could be a little bit better.
- the washing machine was such a massive help and it was already equiped with all we needed for it to work. - the room was comfortable and the view to the street im the back on the bed was a wonderful assortment of the furniture. - the staff was incredibly helpful and kind. - a little far from the train station (almost 2km) but very easy to find on foot if you only carry a small suitcase

The bed wasn't what I would expect from such an expensive lodging but I slept alright. The smoking room is very small for such a large hotel.
The rooms are immaculate with an amazing amount of space. The bathrooms in the rooms are 10/10. Free coffee in the lobby and tea. Very nice vibe.

Keep in mind that they don't do daily housekeeping but it can be requested for an extra charge.
The room was a very decent size and there was even a table for 2, a washing machine and a microwave, which all came in useful. The staff were very friendly as well and helped us find our way around. The breakfast buffet has a traditional Japanese section and a continental breakfast selection as well. The hotel was very close to major attractions, and also near bus stops that could take you to and from Kanazawa JR station. Overall, very happy with my stay and will be coming back!

Everything was great.
We really enjoyed our stay. The room was super clean and a good size for us and our bags. Great bathroom, a microwave and washing machine meant it was a comfortable place to spend a few days while we explored Kanazawa.

The breakfast area was quite small so it filled up pretty quickly. And there was always a very small amount of each food out so it ran out all the time. There was no washing up liquid to do the dishes. And it was unfortunate that the staff can’t help with any services like help you book a restaurant.

Only negative I think is that they need to upgrade thier green tea, its not very good.
it was a real retreat after a day walking around. Nice big room, big window with sunshine and a view. Good breakfast and friendly staff, and the washing machine a must!

The hotel is located a walking distance away from the Kanazawa Castle. It's easy reachable by bus and other means of transport. There are however not many restaurants nearby. But a short walk towards Tokyo Square will reveal many big and small restaurants.
