Kitchenette needs cleaning. There were cobwebs in the sink and the water dispenser.

A real surprise- the level of comfort, the great breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. So close to Gora station and only a short walk to the Lawson store and outdoor art park. Communal space and kitchenette were handy.

Setup of mattress and the aircon, that aircon's air was blowing at our faces despite which wind direction setting.

Near Gora station which made travelling a breeze. Staff were patient, helpful and friendly even took the time to explain how to use the onsen. Room was very spacious with mix of traditional design. First, onsen experience and was a good one. Breakfast was decent.

The dormitories are very large and confortable Everything is brandnew and the onsen is a VERY nice one!! Good restaurant with chilly atmosphere and very nice, friendly staff : we loved the place !

The meals could be improved. The set evening meal was very expensive and the a la carte options small in size and of variable quality. Best were the Japanese rice hot pot dishes, worst the strange ‘curry’.

Things close very early around the hotel. This is not a knock on the hotel itself, but just know that the area will have very few dining options after about 7 o’clock!

Free breakfast was wonderful (and so convenient). The restaurant was also great for supper, and the e proximity to both the train station and cable car can’t be beat.

The hotel is located next to Gora Station. We stayed in a room without bathroom, but the shared shower and toilets were clean. The hotel premises are also clean and pleasant. Guests had access to an onsen. The room had a kettle, tea, and coffee available. Guests also had access to free water and a refreshing drink after using the onsen. Breakfast was served in portions for each guest, with some selection of food available also buffet-style. The staff were very nice and kind.

The half board option was great. Dinner was delicious and really good value. Great location right near the train/cable car. Room was spacious for the three of us and had the option of Netflix if you have your own account.

Loved everything about my stay. The onsen was perfect! They catered to my coeliac disease with very delicious gluten-free food for dinner and breakfast. The location is right beside the Gora train station. My room was very large and comfortable.

This is a lovely hostel, one of the cleanest I’ve ever stayed at. They have the bunk beds that are more like booths so you have total privacy. Lovely onsen on site as well. Bonus points for the most attractive man I’ve ever seen in my life working there!

Air con in our room wasn’t cold enough. Other rooms had cooler air con (friends stayed in a different room). Food at the restaurant was ok but would probably have looked at other options in the area. Presentation of the food was nice just the options didn’t really appeal to me for dinner or breakfast but that is probably just my preferences.

The room had a nice layout (4 bunks) and the bathroom was nice. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Location is fantastic as we wanted to do the ropeway and the open air museum.

The beds are a bit hard but this is typical in Japan, aircon could have been a bit more silent.

A very nice hotel, next to the station, wonderful family room, nice onsen, friendly staff, very good evening meal and buffet breakfast. Highly recommended.

There was a strange noise. I’m not sure if it was the wind or just rude guests.

The location is great. Gora is hilly and it is the perfect place to stay since it’s beside the station. You can drop your things before you explore Hakone.

The room was very warm. We couldn't set the AC to any colder, so either we misunderstood the controls or it was too warm for it to handle.

Can’t think of anything.

The location to the train station was fantastic! Only a few steps away! The hotel had an industrial vibe inside, and everything was clean & tidy. We had a quadruple bunk room and there was a good amount of space for us & our luggage. Would stay here again for sure. The breakfast package was also really nice and a great way to start our day in Hakone, as was the hotels bath house.
