Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainThere is big space between bed and wall so everything falls down, and can't recover it until next morning when other traveler wakes up.

AustraliaGreat location, very close to the ferry port and airport bus stop. The shopping street is nearby, and there are tons of restaurants in the surrounding area. Had everything you'd expect and need at a hostel.

Germany-
* very convenient location: close to bus terminal and Port * spacious rooms with enough space for luggage; lockers in good size. * rooftop that is open 24/7 * discounts on marine activities * using the washing machine is very cheap * If you're looking for some quiet nights: the common area inside/kitchen are free to use until 11pm. Therefore after 11pm there is no noise when you're trying to sleep. You can still meet people on the rooftop though! * friendly staff

JapanThe owner Nao San is a lovely bloke and speaks perfect English with an Ozzy twang. As soon as I arrived he was warm and welcoming . He’s also an avid scuba tour diver and knows the best spots. It’s a bit rustic ( which I liked ) like Khao San Road in the early days, a great first and last night . He’s also a telephone call away if you are stuck/ need help on the other islands. I feel the real Yaeyama adventures starts here. I would definitely stay again.

United KingdomThe steps are quite steep from one side, so difficult to climb with luggage, we were helped by the host. Use the back stairs from within the market, as they are much easier to climb.
It was a great place to stay in Ishigaki and use as a hub to hop to different Yaeyama islands for day trips. Also, near the bus station, so was convenient. It was close to Family mart, JA Farmers market and other restaurants nearby. The hostel was kept clean, and the rooms are comfortable with A/C. The people we met in the hostel were friendly and nice, we got to chat with everyone in the evenings in the dining area and on the roof.

FranceThe staff was not really helpful and the woman who welcomed us, even if she was nice, barely spoke english, which made the communication difficult. We were not even told that we could borrow bikes for free, thankfully another guest told us. We booked a private room for 6 nights and they didn't even offer us to clean it once, while they were cleaning regularly the common space... The comfort is really minimal, beds not super comfy. You can hear very clearly all the noises from the common area, thankfully the noise curfew of 11pm was respected. The info of the snorkeling tours offered by the company of the owner of the guesthouse were not updated in our room and actually were much more expensive now, so we didn't take it. Ok for 2-3 days but not more I would say. Value for price is not that good, but everything is a bit pricey on the island in overall.
The location of the guesthouse is the best part, it's in the middle of the center of the city and very close to the bus station, so you can go everywhere easily. Some other japanese guests made the stay nicer as they were friendly and very willing to discuss with us in the common space. Be aware that this guesthouse hosts mainly japanese guests (we were the only foreigners for our whole stay ; 6 nights), and a lot of older people surprisingly. There is a kitchen and the bathrooms stay clean which is nice.
