Wifi is terrible. Couldn’t do any work on it. Beds are very hard in the dorms— it’s just a thin mat on a wooden platform. Our room code stopped working and all the staff left early so we were locked out completely with no way to contact.

They closed reception earlier than they state on the website. As a foreigner, with limited Japanese language skills, it made check in confusing and difficult for me.

The facilities (toilets and showers) that are outside, then you have to put on your shoes/sandals. The location is a bit far from the train/tram stations.

The price was cheap and the bed was big. The staff were nice and helpful for restaurant recommendations.

It was quite cold in the bathroom and on the way to the shower. It would've been nice if they provided slippers especially in the cold months. Not everyone has slippers with them.

The people at the reception were very kind and helpful. They gave me tips on what to see in Kochi and to try Janmen.

We were unaware that access to the showers & toilets was outdoors which made our stay less comfortable in Winter. Only comfortable common area for the private rooms was a bar also open to the public which closed at 8pm. Private rooms were basic without comfortable seating. Kitchen facilities were extremely limited, again with no space to sit for eating, & also required outdoor access. Western beds were very hard.

Parking needs to be reserved in advance. Bathrooms for men are only on the second floor, so if you have a room on the third floor (like I did) it’ll be really inconvenient

- bed was uncomfortable (too hard); futon works on a tatami but not really on a wooden board - room door opening/ closing was really noisy (the lock device was not really the problem, but the door wouldn't close quietly even when trying) - bar was not open :(

- close to the center (Hirome market, shopping district, etc...) - really helpful and friendly staff (made it possible to check-in late) - very clean, modern style rooms/ bathrooms

Nothing in particular but it is pretty expensive for a hostel but the amenities it comes with, just make sense. So, it was fine for me as the location was very convenient too.

The entire interior was so modern and feasible to use around the areas. The shower rooms were especially excellent. The bed was super comfy and I had a good sleep. I checked in later (21:35) than their usual hours and I also had to check out really early (5:35) the next morning. So, I couldn't do the formal check-in and check-out process in the hostel reception and they let me do a self-check-in, and all the details and rules were mentioned in a paper kept on my bed. I came, checked in, had a relaxing shower, packed my luggage silently, slept, woke up, got ready, and checked out without any trouble. I am very grateful for the self-check-in and check-out and the location was very convenient too as Kochi Station and Bus Terminals are nearby. Not kidding, but the hostel looked so boujee from outside when I arrived at night, I almost thought maybe it was not the one I booked. LMAO.

the futons are very uncomfortable, they are so thin that you pretty much sleep on the wood base of the bunk. there is convenient parking but the parking costs 800¥ per day.

Vaguely inconvenient to shower on a different level. Kitchen facilities small and limited, I was the only one using at the time but I can imagine if the place was full up it would take a very long time for everyone to have their meals or hot drinks

Way too thin 'mattress', 4F without elevator, noisy (stairs in front of hostel should maybe only be used for emergencies). Noisy also in rooms (keypad from door, door itself, no noise canceling whatsoever through bunks). Not a very charming place. For one night okay.

The futon was a little thin and there is not a lot of noise insulation. I sleep like the dead so it didn’t bother me but for others I’d keep it in mind if you are a light sleeper.

The property is really nice, aesthetically it’s really nice and it is extremely clean.

I stayed here before a few months ago and really like the common space and breakfast. But this time it was locked off and no staff was there in the morning, with no notice, no staff available, despite staff telling me I could at check in the day before. Not sure what's going on but rather overpriced and disappointing if this is normal.

Building is nice, location is convenient, and the bedrooms are comfortable.

any one comes with car, should be provided with parking.

we went with car. it was mentioned they have parking. but seems we had to reserved before, which we were not aware. and we had to park in private parking and pay for that./ Also tower was not included and you have to rent.
