The room cleaning could have been better. Some used glasses were left unwashed and not replaced, and there were still some hairs on the bed.

The location is close to Takayama Station, and the check-in process was quick and smooth. The staff was friendly, and the room was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and prepared on time as requested. The hotel is also conveniently located just 700 meters (about a 10-minute walk) from Takayama Old Town.

Nothing negative to say, it was fantastic.

Lovely hotel in the perfect location, close to the train and bus station. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The bathrooms especially are very nice. There was a coin operated washing machine and dryer just outside our room, not sure if this was shared between our landing (3 rooms) or the whole hotel, but either way it was very convenient.

This hotel is indeed a great place to stay in Takayama. First, it's less than 5 minutes walk from the Takayama station, so it was easy for the three of my family with two big suit cases to get there at 21:00 in the night. Second, the room I booked was quite big and comfortable. It's on the top floor with three beds and enough room to unpack our two suit cases at the same time, without needing to move the tables and chairs. Third, the breakfast was wonderful. There is a small cafe on the first floor of this hotel building, with one glass door separating it with the counter of the hotel. The fresh-cooked breakfast was very delicious, much better than those "normal" self-service breakfast in big restaurants. Above all, the staff were very nice and helpful. I received messages in this Booking App asking me when I could arrive, and that was the time when I realized this hotel has stated their check-in time ends at 20:00. However, my train from Nagoya would arrive the Takayama station at 20:57. The staff offered me a way to call for help when I arrived. To my surprise, when we arrived at about 21:05, I found there was already a staff there waiting for us. That made me feel very warm, especially consider that day was our first time to visit Gifu area and also the first day of this trip to Japan from abroad. I sincerely appreciate all the help from the staff, and sorry for kept a staff so late to handle my check-in. I will stay here again for sure when I have the second chance to visit Takayama!

The room design was creative and thoughtful. The layout inside of the room is very good which made the guests enjoy staying at the hotel even though the size is not that big. The hotel's location is good and near the station where it takes only 4 minutes-walking. Breakfast is highly recommended!

The name of the hotel was not easily visible and it took some time to locate the property.

We liked the property due to its proximity to the railway station and its room facilities inspite of being in a rural environment. We also liked the breakfast in the adjoining restaurant on the ground floor.

Except for the sign that we did not see there was very little to complain about. I was not so happy that when we returned for our luggage that we left there after checkout, that it was standing there unattended. A small improvement could be that they would give the opening times of the cafe on a paper upon checkin. We wanted to eat there something when we came back and found the place closed. That was a bit of a pity.

The room was spacious and very clean with great beds. It is very close to the bus and/or trainstation. We did not directly see the sign of the hotel, so we had to ask. The room made us very happy and we felt pity that we only stayed there so shortly.

Everything. It was close to the old historic town, many restaurants within a 10 min walk or less away. Rooms were exceptional, also very clean and the bed sizes were way bigger than expected. I would definitely stay there again. 10/10 experience.

Location in Takayama is a trade off between attractions and the train station. This hotel prioritizes being closer to the train station.

Rooms were well designed. Heating/cooling of rooms/toilets were very modern. Convenient USB charging in room. Staff were super friendly. Coin slot washing machines.

Fantastic location just a few blocks from the train and bus station (same building). Short walk to the start of the historic area. Great restaurant choices very close. Beautiful room, a little small like many Japanese hotels rooms but nice aesthetic and very clean. Great little bakery/restaurant downstairs to grab a bite. Stacked coin-operated washer/drier unit just across the hall from our room.

Not crucial, but wish there was a lounge area.

The location of this hotel is 2 mins walk from the train station and major tour sites are not too far away. I booked this boutique hotel to avoid big tour bus groups and for the no-smoking on premise policy. The beds were super comfortable and washer/dryer conveniently right outside our room. The cafe on ground floor serves great coffee and delicious sandwiches.
