How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Cannot see out of window Room and bathroom are small, but OK
Busy location, but not noisy. We were able to open the window and get some fresh air, but you cannot see out of window The hotel bath facility was excellent. Breakfast selection was good and breakfast room was very nice - bright, airy, outside terrace

I didn't realise that the area was in Korea town, so it was hard to find japanese food. There are also a lot of soaplands and brothels on this street in particular which some people might be uncomfortable with, especially if you have kids or teens with you. It didn't bother us, you get this sort of thing in cities, but others might be annoyed about it.
Beautifully decorated hotel with lovely staff, very warm and welcoming and made a fuss of us on our honeymoon. Room is tiny but not the smallest we stayed in.

The washing machine and drying machine are extremely faulty and my clothes failed to wash or dry up even after multiple spins, I'd suggest people to just resort to a laundromat outside instead but it is a 10 mins walk to the nearest one. Our experience at the hotel was definitely less pleasant due to having to deal with the faulty washing and drying machines.
Super clean and the size wasn't too bad too. The room has a mirror with lights attached to it perfect for people who needs lighting to do their makeup or skincare. The staff were also extremely helpful. The onsen on the top floor was also great! It's also a 5 mins walking distance from Akasaka Station, which gives us easy train access to Omotesando/Shibuya area.

Very small room. Fridge was not working well - seemed to turn off at times.
Good breakfast. Hotel has a spa but didn't have time to use it. Great location - handy to two metro stations (2 and 7 minutes walk), city center and shopping. Clean. Helpful staff. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

the hotel facilities are not maintained very clean with a nice smell cause I feel this hotel concentrates on the location. Very convenient location, but a room is tiny and a bit smelly, there is no window which means no lights from outside and no air circulation from a window. If you are a traveler who is not that sensitive for the room condition and size, I would recommend this hotel in terms of its location.
Very convenient location(easy access to 3-4 subway lines from the hotel : approx. 5 min walking distance from those stations). You can go to Omotesando within 5 min by subway, 20 min to Roppingi on foot, 15 min to Tokyo station by subway. This hotel is all about location.

Rooms a bit small but on par with 3 star hotels. Shower head was tricky to use or hold in place.
Handy location with two metro stations close by. Plenty of eating places around. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast.

Everything was excellent!
Room was small but quite normal for Tokyo. Hotel location is the best, lots to do in the surroundings, transport options very near and staff was extremely friendly too!

The beds were too firm for me (which some may really like!) and it was a little odd having very minimal natural light in the room (it still felt like the middle of the night even when it was 9-10am!).
A great location, cute décor and all the amenities and toiletries you could need. Good lift access, spa on the top floor and a restaurant (although it was being renovated during our stay).

It's a very tight space and the toilet is right next to the frosted glass bathroom door which doesn't give you much privacy. There's very limited room to open your suitcase.
