Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

JapanI do not live in the center of Tokyo quite much. But the price is a little bit expensive, comparing to the area of the rooom.
5 minutes walking distance to Kanda station. Two convenient stors are nearby. The hotel is quiet and comfortable.

JapanI've reserved a room that was without room cleaning service. In this hotel it means that if you want clean towels or take out the garbage you have to bring all to the front each time. Would be better if you can let it in front of the door of your room, especially when you are out from the early morning to the evening for work. In my plan there was only one day of cleaning included in 8 days, and without any cleaning tools it is not so comfortable as it could be a so big and complete room.
The room was big and with a sink and microwave oven, an additional table and chair, it was more similar to a mini apartment than a business hotel room.

AustraliaThe room was smaller than the pictures suggested, not really enough room for two people and two suitcases but as a base of operations it was okay,
The location was convenient between many of the tourist destinations and Akihabara. The room was okay, a bit smaller than I was expecting from the pictures but suits needs if you intend to sightsee rather than stay in the hotel.

Everything was perfect for us. The room was cozy, had everything we needed, location excellent - close to stations (Kanda and others) and not as crowded as other more touristy areas. Some areas like Akihabara are reachable quickly and easily by foot. Friendly and helpful staff

AustraliaBed is really... firm. I usually sleep on medium bed, but their bed is a bit too hard for me. Pillows are also pretty firm but I didn't think it was much of an issue for back sleepers.
The staff are fabulous! Check in was smooth and easy. We flew in and got to the hotel around 10am (but check in is at 3pm). So we dropped our bags after completing all the registration required for check-in. When we came back after 3pm, we got told that our bags were already in our room. It was really nice of them to do that for us (and live saving as we were already really tired from flying for more than 10 hours and then having to spend time elsewhere veggie check in). FYI, Japanese hotels don't usually take your bags to your room like how it is in most countries around the world. So it's really rare for a Japanese hotel to take your bags to the room for you. I've been going to Japan for more than 10 years, and this is the second hotel that has helped with our bags. Location of the hotel is really good for public transport. It's about 10 mins to Kanda station and about 6 mins to Kodenmacho station. We got the twin room and our room and bath are really large. I can see that it is made to accommodate wheelchair users. So you can consider this room if you need this type of room for your Japan trip. The room is located next to the lift so getting in and out of the room to the lift is pretty convenient. I know some people on their reviews complained about the noises from the road. We stayed at room 201 (next floor up from entrance/lobby) and our windows faces the main road. We didn't think the noises from the road are an issue to us, but we are late sleepers so it might just depends on your sleeping time. There are hardly any vehicle after 10pm.

CanadaThere was not much that I did not like. The room could get very humid however there are dehumidifiers in the room.
The room was inexpensive and the hotel provided all the amenities I would like. There was a washer, dryer, and ice machine. The staff was accomodating and was willing to make a customer service call for me due to my lack of Japanese.

CanadaThe room doesn’t have proper ventilation and smells moldy. You’ll see condensation too. My husband asked to switch to a different room due to molds which the staff accommodated. However, the new room still smells mold. He ended up sick.
