Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomMy non-smoking room had been smoked in by a previous occupant (but the hotel staff moved me without any questions or fuss). It is convenient to have a breakfast option but, for the price, it was surprisingly basic and limited.
Umeda is a good transport hub and restaurant district, and the hotel is conveniently located. Friendly and helpful staff.

United StatesLocation was not easy to find, even by Google Maps & Maps Me. Also too close to the train tracks, so a bit noisy, & much more expensive than other boutique hotels of the same quality with better locations in Tokyo, Kyoto & Hiroshima.
I had requested a quiet room away from the elevator, but on arrival discovered the room faced the noisy train tracks. However, the staff responded by moving me to a much quieter room that was perfect. A young man that wore glasses, spoke perfect English & went by the name of Loui I believe was most helpful. He went above & beyond to assist me in acquiring a bus ticket to the airport that ultimately saved me an enormous taxi fare. He clearly understands customer service & is the type of employee that you want on your management team, so give him a promotion, a raise, or both, as well deserved. Thanks!!

BulgariaHotel was good. Room was a bit small for double room, but I was solo traveler and it was a good fit for me. Having in mind that hotels in general have small rooms in the bigger cities, can’t say it was a huge issue for me. I would really loved if staff was speaking good English, instead of us using translate.

Just a stopover. Room pretty small but well equipped and surprisingly quiet given the location. Good for main city station location.

SingaporeBreakfast options were very limited, abit of a walk (7-8) mins from Umeda/JR Osaka Stations, which can be more challenging while lugging luggage.
Comfortable room, bathroom decent sized, enough space to place luggage and navigate in the room.

SwitzerlandI had some trouble using the climatisation couldn’t find a way for the temperature too be nice in the room, it was always too hot or too cold no Matter what settings i was using. The cleanliness can definitly be improved, when i first arrived at the hotel i took one of the towel in the bathroom and there was a pubic hair on it. Same after the housemaid came to clean, found another pubic hair on the edge of the shower. The information about the cleaning where not really clear to me. When you arrive at the hotel they give you a paper explaining the different service they provide and something like « if you stay more than 3 nights someone will automatly come to clean the room for hygiene reasons » Well, they don’t or maybe i got out to late but i’m not sure because the housemaid was still cleaning other rooms when i got out. And it’s also written put the sign on your door by 9am if you want someone to clean the room but i’m sure not everyone is out by 9am so how does it work then ?
the place was well equiped and the room pleasent i didn’t Heard any noise from outside and the curtain prevented Well the light from entering the room. The area where it’s located is Alive, a lot of people come around to eat, do some shopping. There where a lot of restaurants and shops nearby. Really easy to access and near several metro station.

AustraliaWashing machines were all out of order. But one was working at the the start of my stay.
Location is great, lots of dining and entertainment right at your door and Umeda station is very close so lots of shopping and dining options there too. I loved the view of the Hankyu train lines out the window and when the window is shut and blinds drawn, it’s completely dark and quiet. Great for a good nights sleep.

AustraliaThe room is so small, the mattress is too soft. No daily clean, not even change bath towel, have to ask reception for clean towel. The breakfast is very simple, not suggesting to add in your stay, there are plenty of street food. Can hear the train noise in the evenings .
Location is good, close to Umeda station and airport bus terminal, only 5mins walk.

MalaysiaFriendly yet professional staff. The hotel is a little bit hidden so first timers may have a bit of a struggle finding it. Walking from the Limousine Bus stop or Osaka Station isn't the easiest if you have luggage as you'll have to navigate through buildings and find overhead passes to bypass roads that do not have pedestrian crossings. We ended up taking a taxi but it was cheap at less than $10. Location wise, we found it to be very cozy with plenty to offer just footsteps away from the hotel. If you're looking for a hotel that's in a relative quiet, less frenzied area but yet close enough to Namba/Dotonbori (about 4 subway stops away), I would highly recommended this hotel. As a bonus, the line that gets you to Kyoto is only 400m away.

FranceThe room is small but crowded. There are useful tools like air purifiers and pant press but there's no room to place it out of the way so it's just a bother. There's a gap that is too small to walk in between the window and the bed, it's a waste of space Its pretty expensive compared to other hotels however the standing seems average. The furniture is not made for such a small space. The hotel staff just ignore you when you greet them.
I liked that it wasn't too far away from the airport limousine bus area but you have to walk quite a bit. I liked that you could go to Universal with the Osaka loop line but you also have to walk quite a bit to get to the station. The toilet is nice
