How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It is located 200 meters from the station is Osaka or less, but it is a little long the distance from the most touristic attractions. Everything is very nice and clean, and the rooms super comfortable.

The first night was very warm, and air conditioning was not available. Once the issue was raised with the staff, they switched the air conditioning back on. Very helpful.

Internet connection is NOT secured. It used to be Unizo before so I've already booked this hotel chain and was satisfied. Although hotel is close from rail tracks, rooms are quite soundproof. Location was perfect for my purpose. Subway entrance is just nearby. Clean, efficient, a good choice.

I love the location of the hotel. It’s so close to Shin Osaka station which, is like the center of the transportation. Though, it’s so close to the track the noise wasn’t an issue after all. However, the size of the room was small but, if your purpose was just to crash in at night then this is a good choice. PS. The air conditioner in the room was so hard to have it turn on. We don’t feel the cool coming out from the wind blow at all…

Facilities are a bit older and dirtier than what I'm used to seeing here in Japan.
Super close to Shin Osaka station making it ridiculously convenient. A decent tonkatsu restaurant is right at the bottom of the place so it's nice and easy to get a good meal when you're at the hotel.

You couldn't be closer to a big train station such as Shin Osaka. The room was very clean but very small, okay for a couple who only wants to hop in to sleep because you won't have many spaces to chill around the room. Everything was straightforward, breakfast was good!

This is a business hotel not a tourist hotel so the room is small, but it was very comfortable. Especially the bed. The bathroom was also spacious.

Bed was not made. Understood they do not change the sheets daily but they didn’t tuck in the bedsheets even when asked to make up room. And the mirror was not cleaned too… :(

If you have places to be this is perfect as a hub, if you want to experience more of the city vibe then stay in Hommachi like I did last year. My room view was blocked by an architectural feature of the building but it only peeked out over freeway traffic so didn’t miss much, but it made the room a little dark. Don’t know if it was the shower curtain or what but the bathroom did smell a bit musty.
Very convenient location to get to Umeda, Kitakygaya, Nara and Shin-Osaka in between travelling to/from Kyoto, Kyushu and Tokyo. Second time in an Unizo hotel and was reliably comfortable, modern, clean and good value. Friendly staff, had a bit of communication trouble when checking in but then a more experienced front desk person stepped in who could speak English well. Steps away from Osaka Metro line station, and you can walk direct to Shin-Osaka via this subway station or via stairs to the overbridge, or a much longer walk via underbridges. Close to restaurants, there is a casual restaurant on the ground floor connected and the menu looked good at reasonable prices but I didn’t get back early enough to try.

I found some inconvenience in the hair dryer (it would be nice if the staff always checked the amenities and room's facilities.
The room was spacious enough for a low price one night stay. The location was superb. For those who are looking for no risk stay, location near station, comfy room, this hotel could be a recommendation.
