JapanThe rooms are very cramped, the bathtub is the smallest I have seen in Japan. There are about 36 rooms per floor (but somehow the breakfast restaurant was empty)
Brand new hotel, everything smelling good. Breakfast has a good selection of bread so it’s suitable for westerners. Room has comfy bed and drip coffee available. And very professional staff despite their short time working in this facility.

Inexpensive hotel within walking distance from the station but away from the railway's noise and the noise from the entertainment district which is right behind the corner. Everything's clean and looks brand new. All necessities you might think of available (hair dryer, toothbrushes, bathrobes, etc). Room is spacious.

JapanThe place was expensive for what it was (nearly 8000 yen). I chose Unizo because I stayed at another one of their properties before, and I was extremely impressed by how its facilities seems to exceed the average business hotel in every way. So I did not mind the price. However, the "Express" variety must be a more basic version of the chain, since it did not meet my expectations. But it is not bad in an objective way. Also, although it was close to Utsunomiya Station, it was on the east side wheras the happening area of town is on the west side, so it was a bit far to walk to.
The place has all the comforts and cleanliness you would expect from a business hotel. The included morning breakfast was also nice (croissants and other pastries + coffee) despite the small selection.

The hotel is clean and new. The non-smoking room has no cigarette smell, (unlike many aged Japanese hotel, where cigarette smell is strong even in a non-smoking room). Cheap hotel. There is no breakfast at this hotel, but this is fine since it was known beforehand.

Japanthe pillow is small and only one. the shower is not comfortable. tea, combs and other little things that are usually in the room are not. Plenty of space but the table is narrow. too expensive for that price. If it were twice as cheap, there would be no questions.
